This home is spectacular and it is perfect for those who want an upscale vacation rental at a reasonable price.. The home is newly remodeled/rebuilt and decorated with a comfortable modern mountain feel. It has a large gourmet kitchen with a sub-zero refrigerator, Jenn Air stove /oven, a European quiet dishwasher, granite countertops and plenty of other amenities. The extra large deck is facing the lake and is great for late afternoon bbq's in the summer and in the winter offers the opportunity to feel the chill of nature and sometimes the piling of white winter snow. The wood burning fireplace will take the chill off and add to your comfort. The beds vary in firmness and are said to be really comfortable. There are custom blackout blinds for those who want to sleep in late but later roll up for mountain sunlight. The new crank windows are great for the wonderful summer breeze but lock away the cold in the winter. There is a separate attached 1100 sq ft bonus room with a pool table/air hockey table, shuffle board, karaoke, and lots of floor space downstairs for kids to play and/or sleep. The bonus/game room can be rented separately for an additional $100 per night with the main house rental. The entry closet is filled with board games etc for family entertainment. The living room off the kitchen has a 60" flat screen smart HDTV to play your favorite movies, watch a tv show or just listen to your favorite music. The main house has 1 master with a king sized bed, second bedroom with a queen and 2 twin beds, and third with 2 full and 2 twin beds. An additional full sized bed with the additional bonus room rental. There is a 2 car garage and 4 additional parking spots on the carport areas just off the garage and, if needed, there is additional parking on the private driveway entrance through the gates of the North Shore Estates community (this steep 2nd driveway is not for use in the snow). The private road entrance that leads you to the garage is a flat entrance from Hwy 173 to make snow entrance/exit easy. There are many hikes and trails near, pamphlets with info are included in welcome kit! Check out the photos provided of the beautiful home and views that are within walking distance! Dont miss out on this wonderful opportunity! We book no more than two months in advance.

About Megan Callanan
I bought this home in Lake Arrowhead because of its great location including access to the lake, great view, flat entrance off a private drive and rebuild potential. Since almost everything is new in the property, I ask that the home, even though a rental, will be cared for and respected.
Megan Callanan purchased this House in 2013
Why Megan Callanan chose Lake Arrowhead
Great lake access, beautiful views, huge clean new deck. Flat private road entrance to garage parking so you don't get trapped in snowy winter weather. Lake Arrowhead is a deep lake so you don't have as much seaweed as Big Bear. The Lake Arrowhead Village is really charming and well maintained. Santa's Village is short ride away (maybe 5 miles).
What makes this House unique
There are two driveways. One has a flat entrance off a private drive so when it is snowing there is easy in and out access to the property.

This is our 2nd time staying at this property! Amazing! The home is beautiful, the area and so calm and serene! The owner is always available, easy to communicate with and her notes about the area are very informative. The home is beautiful, very well kept, which means us as customers have to take care of their home as well! Definitely going to continue to stay at this home for years to come, next time this summer! Loved it!
Beautiful cabin. Well kept and clean.
Really nice place! Plenty of room for all our friends! Had a fire in the fire place and cooked amazing food in the great kitchen all weekend. The only issue we had was no toilet paper or paper towels in the house when we arrived. I text the owner and she apologized and said she would reimburse us to go purchase some. Other than that it was a great time had by all!
Beautiful Property, Lovely Christmas Memories, Wonderful Owner
What a truly lovely home. Our family of 12 stayed during the Christmas holiday and we had a wonderful time! We lost my father last Christmas and we all wanted to be together for a few days to honor his memory, forgo the hustle of the holiday, and change the scenery from our normal celebration. All of us together, staying at this home, created new Christmas memories.
Lake Arrowhead was serene, relaxing, and refreshing. The home itself is more than comfortable for 12 and has everything you need. It is close to The Village which made shopping easy. We enjoyed the large deck and view every morning with our coffee and every night watching the sunset. If someone plays guitar, have them bring an acoustic...my son's soft strumming made it even more enjoyable. Inside we were warm and cozy with enough space for everyone. We added the game room to our stay and it is a must for young and old alike! Worth every penny! Honestly, I can't imagine not renting this portion of the house. The game tables kept the younger ones busy and the older ones on their toes! It gave the teens a place of their own, yet not out of earshot. The kitchen is loaded, spacious, and makes cooking a breeze...the view from the kitchen window makes it even better. The lovely Sub-Zero fridge holds plenty of food and the kitchen is stocked with all the implements needed to cook a large dinner. (I made a 12-pound prime rib with all the sides for Christmas and it was a breeze!) The dining table with extra chairs is perfect for dinner and playing games with a larger crowd.
Megan, the owner of this home, was a dream to work with and made sure we had everything we needed. She was easy to communicate with and responded to our questions very promptly. She is a lovely, thoughtful person.
This was our first time renting with VRBO and we were more than happy with our experience...we were truly blessed. We will be "VRBOing" again...and, hopefully, will be returning to this amazing home!

The cabin and its location are great. It is a spacious cabin with plenty of amenities to keep you entertained. My family enjoyed spending our Thanksgiving week in the cabin. A wonderful place for rest and relaxation. I highly recommend this place for you.
We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. It was very clean and the owner was wonderful with communication.
GREAT place for large groups/ family
We were 2 families and all had a great time! The playroom was a savior with all the kids; everyone (including adults ) enjoyed that room. Definately would stay there again. The only thing that was a little different for us was that we had to take our trash with us at the end. Not sure if this is standard in Lake Arrowhead or not. After asking a few people, it seems like it is.
There is a visitors center near the Lake Arrowhead Village with lots of recommendations. The village has lots of shops plus miniature golf, go cart rides etc for kids...including toy stores & ice cream. You can take a tour of the lake on the Lake Arrowhead Queen or take water ski lessons, feed ducks, eat breakfast, go to happy hour (or go to the winery for wine tasting) or hang out your entire stay at the house/cabin and listen to the sound of nature. Near by you will find great trail hikes all around, an Observatory for viewing the stars, a wild life center reserve to see animals in their natural habitat. Our house/cabin is just up from the lake (next to the marina) with lake rights so swimming, fishing and boating are a big part of the fun in the summer. There is a park walking distances as well. In the winter, the snow comes in at unexpected times. The ski slopes at Snow Valley, Snow Summit and Big Bear are just up the mountain. If there is no snow around the cabin when you arrive in the winter, the toboggan slopes are usually filled with man made snow so you can enjoy taking the kids to Snow Valley or Big Bear which is just up the hill from Running Springs (where you will usually find snow to sled down from recent snowy days/nights) It a great home in a great location. Grocery stores are Jensons located in Lake Arrowhead/Cedar Glen and Blue Jay; Stater Bros in the Village.
