Guestbook comments from the owner

Kenneth and Walene Beeler, our hosts, are the most wonderful people you can imagine. They have put so many personal touches in this darling "ranch house". The view from the east window is one of the best I have ever seen. The ranch house is conveniently located so that a day trip to many locations is easy and you can return to the comfort and beauty of your home away from home. Even though this delightful home is listed in Paris, it is actually at the base of Mt. Magazine between Magazine and Paris. We love this place and our hosts.

A home away from home!

  • 5 of 5

We brought our three teenagers and stayed at the Ranch House for four nights. We were all very comfortable there. It was very spacious and clean. All the accommodations we needed were there. We enjoyed the house, the property, the fire pit and the peaceful feeling out there. It was so neat to sit at the kitchen table and see hummingbirds at the feeder just outside the window and a variety of birds as well. We went out and enjoyed riding ATV's, hiking and swimming on Mt. Magazine. Back at the house in the evenings, we enjoyed playing games and watching movies that Walene has in the house. We had one problem when we popped a tire on our truck when coming in one night. Long story short, we left the tool at home that is used to get the spare tire off from under the truck. We were stuck at the house on a Sunday but Walene managed to get us some help. She had a family member come help us and then everything was fine. That was so kind for them to take care of our needs. I would highly recommend this house to any family wanting a nice getaway from the city. It is such a bargain for all the accommodations and the peaceful setting! The delicious cinnamon rolls were a real treat as well!

Extremely clean & neat.

  • 4 of 5

Loved the house,

a few minor issues with recliner and dining table chairs, and with the entrance road to the property being very ruff and rocky with part of it being underwater a few days due to rain for 2-3 days. Other then these issues, we enjoyed the home and had a wonderful visit with our family in Arkansas.

I would recommend this home to anyone wanting to have privacy, cleanliness and a relaxing atmosphere at a reasonable price.

Walene Beeler was sincerely interested in trying to make sure our stay was comfortable and worry free by giving a personal tour of the home explaining all features of the home and delivered some of the best tasting cinnamon rolls i think we have ever eaten.

Overall, we would highly recommend this home as a alternative to a motel.

Wonderful getaway with all you need to have a relaxing vacation and surrounding sightseeing.

  • 5 of 5

This is our second time to stay at the Ranch House. It is truly home away from home. It has all you need and there is plenty of room in the roomy 3 bedrooms and large large living room. The serene surrounding yard and fields are revitalizing. Close enough to many of Arkansas state parks for great day trips. We are originally from Ft. Smith and have many relatives we visit so this makes a great home base. Sitting outside in the evening around the fire and watching the Milky Way is certainly something you do not experience in the city. We will go again and again and again. Thanks Walene!!!
