Kenneth and Walene Beeler, our hosts, are the most wonderful people you can imagine. They have put so many personal touches in this darling "ranch house". The view from the east window is one of the best I have ever seen. The ranch house is conveniently located so that a day trip to many locations is easy and you can return to the comfort and beauty of your home away from home. Even though this delightful home is listed in Paris, it is actually at the base of Mt. Magazine between Magazine and Paris. We love this place and our hosts.

Ideal place for 3 families and it turned out to be very memorable experience for us. Very quite and very peaceful. Looking forward for our next visit here. Highly recommended.
The ranch house was everything promised and more! The location was perfect to Mt Magazine and had its own scenic views. The house was very clean, had everything we needed and Walene even baked us dinner rolls!
Of all the places we have stayed in AR, the ranch house is the most comfortable, private, quiet home away from home. The master bed was great and the washer came in handy on a long trip.
If you are looking for a quiet country setting, do not hesitate to stay here. Admittedly teenagers that are technology obsessed may find this a bit "too relaxed" but it was perfect for us in our 60s and we had a wonderful 4 days here. The house is very impressive: large rooms, extremely clean, comfortable furniture and beds, impressively well stocked, excellent A/C. There is no dishwasher or disposal but if you are used to those amenities and don't like to do dishes, just get some paper plates, the trade off is well worth it. The view from the dining table is Mt. Magazine off in the distance. Cell phone reception is perfect but there is no WiFi which was no big deal. If you need the internet, its easy to get on your phone. But don't waste your time on the internet. This is a place to be enjoyed. During the day we visited relatives in Ft. Smith, went up on Mt. Magazine and hiked, and did sightseeing in the area. It is very quiet at night. We took a ghost walk at dusk through the woods down to the pond. Evenings are beautiful to set out and the yard furniture is very comfortable. We cooked hot dogs on the grill and made a campfire in the fire pit every night. Because there is no light pollution from any big cities, at night you can reach out and touch the stars. We saw the Milky Way like we had not seen it in years. It was almost Halloween so we sat around the fire at night and told spooky stories as we watched the stars overhead. We were lucky to be there during the Orionids meteor shower and saw tons of shooting stars. Just beautiful. There is a CVs grocery store only 8 easy miles away in Paris (2 of which are dirt road, but no problem) and with a fully equipped kitchen we did most of our cooking at the house. Waleen has provided everything you need to feel completely at home. For the last few years we have stayed at the Lodge on Mt. Magazine or in the cabins. But The Ranch House will be our first choice from now on. To sum it up, we did NOT want to leave so we will return again and again.
Loved the ranch house. We were at Mt Magazine for my daughter's wedding. The house was about 30 min from where the wedding was. Also centrally located between the venue for the wedding and Russellville where all our other activities took place. Loved the large master bedroom. Very nicely decorated. Has a great fire put back. Hope to stay there again soon. Thank you also for the great cinnamon rolls you left for us.
Wonderful house. Be warned, it is 2 miles on a rocky dirt road with turns and hills. We were on motorcycles, so it was a little nerve racking (we knew it was a dirt road when we booked). Super clean home. Fantastic views. Sat outside on the stones around the fire pit (minus the fire) to star gaze. Walene was a fantastic hostess. Loved this place. Would stay again, but would probably find some place else for the motorcycles.
