I purchased this home as my permanent residence and decided to rent my home in the summer months since my career doesn't allow me to enjoy my home during this time.
Renee Spalding purchased this house in 2012
This is your home away from home. The home is tastefully decorated, prime location and shared water frontage.
Two master suites (one with a fireplace), shared West Grand Traverse Bay frontage, eat-in kitchen & dining room, and covered front porch.
This was my family’s first experience with VRBO – and it was wonderful!
The responses from the owner were speedy and accurate. She provided lots of information about the property and area that was very helpful. My siblings and our spouses were in Traverse City for a family wedding. We were able to accommodate all of us in this spacious, well-appointed, very well-maintained home. The beds were very comfortable – we all slept well. There were plenty of linens and service ware. There is a store right around the corner for ice. It is just a short walk down the street to view the water and dangle your feet from the dock.
In addition to the wedding and family events there was a lot to do. I highly recommend visiting Sleeping Dunes National Park, The Old Mission Lighthouse and the local beaches. Downtown Traverse City is a delight with lots of shops and restaurants to choose from . We had a terrific time across the board. We would come back again. I recommend this property very highly.
This is a spacious, comfortable, and well maintained house in an ideal location between Traverse City and Suttons Bay. The owner is extremely responsive and helpful. The 6 of us were very comfortable. We would definitely recommend it!
This property worked out great for our Girls Weekend Up North. The online description was very accurate and detailed. The house was impeccably well maintained, located in a great neighborhood, it had plenty of room for us and was conveniently located between Suttons Bay and Traverse City. Though we did not use the deck for grilling, we did hang out there in the afternoon and evenings and it was perfect. This property is well suited for either a larger family or a Girls Weekend. The owner was quick to respond to all of my questions leading up to our trip. The note left by the owner for convenient grocery stores, beaches and local attractions was very helpful. I would highly recommend this property to family and friends. If I could make one suggestion, it would be helpful to have salt, pepper, cooking oil, etc. even though we were able to purchase them at the local store. We highly recommend Black Star winery, Apache Trout Grill and Union Tap and Grill. Thank you for a great time.
I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY FOR YOUR STAY IN BEAUTIFUL MICHIGAN. THE HOUSE WAS VERY CLEAN AND IN A GOOD LOCATION. THE WATER ACCESS WAS WONDERFUL TO JUST SIT AND LOOK AT THE WATER. OUR FAMILY ENJOYED OUR STAY VERY MUCH. MAKE SURE TO TAKE THE SCENIC DRIVE THROUGH THE SLEEPING BEAR DUNES AND EAT AT MON AMI RESTAURANT.
Renting Renee's property worked out wonderfully for our girl's weekend in Suttons Bay / Traverse City. The VRBO listing is accurate and thorough, and Renee was responsive and helpful with questions I had leading up to the trip. The property was impeccably clean and well maintained. The house was spacious and comfortable. We especially enjoyed grilling on the back deck. We did a decent amount of cooking through our trip; my one, very small complaint is that there were no pantry basics like salt, pepper, or oil. It was a minor issue that was quickly remedied by walking 2 minutes to the well stocked convenience store at the end of the street. A short drive to Suttons Bay and Traverse City. We drove to Hendryx Park, a small public beach nearby, and we also enjoyed the winery and beer garden - Hop Lot - down the road.
This worked out very well for our family of five, including three teenagers. It's a very nice and spacious new house with nice furnishings and comfortable beds. From this location we had easy access to Traverse City, Suttons Bay, and the rest of the Leelanau, including Leland and Sleeping Bear Dunes. We rode bikes into TC on the paved bike path, which you can access about a mile from the house.
