Warrior's Mark House Rental Photos and Description

Enjoy the Blue River As It Flows Through Breckenridge from the Perfect Vantage Point!

This four bedroom four bath has a great location very close to the Peak 9 base. A trail across the street takes about 10 minutes to reach the Quicksilver chair by Maggie Pond.

Or you can just hop on the Breck brown Freebus that circulates past the house twice an hour.

Amazing views from your large private deck of a bend of the Blue River. Right in town in Breckenridge! This home has one of the finest views of the river and Baldy mountain in town. The river makes a turn with rapids right behind the house, so the sound of the river is everywhere in the home. A tranquil setting that is a real stress reliever. In the summer you can actually fish right off the deck.

Close to the Warriors Mark green space and very private. A nice red cedar log home in the Warriors Mark neighborhood on the south side of Breckenridge. Four bedrooms and four baths. Two kings and two queens. Brand new deck with french doors off of the upstairs master provides sweeping views and sounds from the Blue River in Breckenridge. Huge 800 square foot private deck off of the main living level as well. Address of the home is 1217 Broken Lance Drive. Washer/Dryer. Gas fireplace.

A short access path across the street takes you right to the base of Peak 9 by the Village of Breckenridge in about 10 minutes. In 5 minutes, this same trail connects with the Burro Trail and also with the Wheeler Trail, Mohawk Lakes, Crystal Lakes, and others.

Remodeled kitchen with new cabinets, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, new tiled bathrooms, new carpet, furniture and all new interior doors.

(A LITTLE HISTORY OF THIS HOME)

This is a Pan Abode Red Cedar log home built in 1978. This style log home is still built all over the world today. The manufacturer states that the company at that time made a commitment to build each home out of the same red cedar tree.

In 1978 the Warriors Mark neighborhood was considered Summit County. When the house was built, there was no required 25 foot construction setback from the river. The neighborhood was annexed by the Town of Breckenridge in 2004 and grandfathered the location of the home just 5 feet from the Blue River. There were just a handful of river front sites to choose from in 1978. The original owner chose first, and found the most advantageous site to build on. Not only because of the fabulous setting with the Blue River rapids right behind the house, but also because he could see a full eighth of a mile upstream and downstream. And with a beautiful full view of Baldy Mountain as well.

(A NOTE ABOUT THE QUALITY OF THE BRECKENRIDGE WATER)

Whether you choose our home for your Breckenridge vacation or not, we just want you to know that the drinking water here is of the highest quality. The reservoir that supplies Breck, the goose pasture tarn, is just south of town on the east side of HWY 9. Summit County in general has some of the best drinking water in the state. On a side note, of the 4000+ counties in the United States, Summit County was ranked as one of the top 10 counties where people lived the longest.

Fabulous view

Beautiful property, very relaxing. The house was very clean. Gregory was easy to work with and hospitable. Our family enjoyed our stay there so much, and we hated to leave. Just be aware that there are lots of stairs involved.

The setting was gorgeous. Location close to town but still felt secluded when at the property.

  • 3 of 5

The property needs some repairs. Leaky showers, carpet needs replaced , lighting very low especially in wash machine area, ant mounts on property on path to river prevented full advantage of river access and fishing. That said , the hot tub was great after a rainy cool day. There are good working appliances. No phone. Wifi worked well. Beds comfortable. Moose came to visit! Can't beat that !

Great vacation rental!

  • 4 of 5

You can't beat the view and the location! Our first night there a moose walked down the river, up to the house and up the hill on the side of the house right below us! Amazing! House was clean and easy to access. We didn't want to leave the deck during our stay!

Sorry but wasn't what we expected , disrepair/unclean

  • 2 of 5

Very surprised when arriving at this home , I knew it would be rustic by the few pics , but the previous ( and some current) reviews made it sound just wonderful , it was not . It was in disrepair ( only 1 out of 4 bathrooms were modern and would become plugged). the owners stayed in the apartment in the lower level of the cabin ( did not know this before arriving , somewhat deceiving) it did sit near a river ( this was nice) but the most disappointing was how unclean it was . ( dirty rugs, old dirty carpet , bugs , very disappointing ! We felt fortunate to have been able to bring our dogs , and it's very important to us to be courteous to the owners we're renting from , but I don't feel the previous assessments/reviews were honest and I believe this site needs to have the truth .

Owner's Response: We really make no apologies for our wonderful home. This red cedar log home was built on what is now recognized, as a rare and prized, piece of Breckenridge riverfront property. The home's deck is just 5 feet from the Blue River on a very private setting with the Warriors Mark green space on the other side. What this guest notes as disrepair, is actually the slow and methodical renovation we have been undertaking in the last year and a half. New kitchen, 2 new baths, roof, interior doors, upper deck, light fixtures, living room/dining room furniture, new ceiling and paint on the entire upper floor, etc. Since it is my wife and I that clean the home, we stand by that as well. Granted that the weather during her stay during the July 4th weekend was extraordinarily rainy, she just did not seem to get it. She seems to have been way too focused on the remaining imperfections of our 1978 home, instead of the absolute perfection of it's setting. We believe that the vast majority of our previous guests have.

Rent this home now before someone else does !!!!

This cabin exceeded all of my expectations , This is the best view in Breckenridge. Walking distance to restaurants, shops ,and entertainment. Just five minutes from the slopes we rarely had to drive once we got to this beautiful cabin. The cabin is stocked with anything and everything you would need. We absolutely did not want to leave , we will most definitely be back next year. Greg is in constant contact and is eager to answer any questions you have. Five star experience all the way !

Great Spot!

  • 5 of 5

We loved this big, roomy house and loved the location!

We didn't know what to expect in terms of whether we were within walking distance to the ski lift or not, and here is the strategy that we found worked best:

Day 1 - Drive to the valet parking garage near the "Main Street Station" and the "Village Hotel". It's the closest spot we found to the lift. It will cost $ to park there, but you only have to do that the first day. Leave all your gear in the overnight locker, right next to the QuickSilver lift. As of 3/16, the cost was $11 per night.

Day 2 on - You can walk to the QuickSilver lift & locker and get your gear there. We would carry our ski boots and change in the lodge right next to the lift. It's a nice walk, not too strenuous, but for us it would be way too long in ski boots and carrying the gear. Otherwise, it's pretty manageable.

Last Day - Once again, park in the garage so that you can pick up your skis at the end of the day.

One night we were too tired to cook or even go out, so we ordered dinner from a local delivery service. It was GREAT! Quick, friendly, and everything we ordered was delicious.

We met the owners of the cabin on our way out, and they were very friendly and especially helpful. We were grateful to spend our vacation in this lovely cabin and would surely stay here again.
