Lovely house with quaint charm in Suttons Bay

  • 5 of 5

The house was picturesque for the small lake front town of Suttons Bay. It is situated just 2 short blocks from town, which is perfect for walks and shopping. The decor is charming and the small details in each room make you feel like home. There are a lot of steps which just add to the uniqueness of the house. We were six(6) people total and there was plenty of room. Highly recommend for any traveler to this area. MaryLou was wonderful to deal with. Thank you!

A Wonderful Vacation!

  • 5 of 5

There were 7 of us in our group - all friends from high school getting together to celebrate a milestone birthday. I found Mary Lou's house on VRBO and was so pleased that it was available for 3 nights, and I didn't have to rent the entire week. The house was spacious and perfect! It had 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a well-appointed kitchen, screened-in front and back porches, a living room, a library, a formal dining room, and a casual eat-in kitchen. Not to mention a beautiful yard with a fire ring and patio for evenings outside. All the bedrooms had AC, and the furnishings were very comfortable. The house is on a gorgeous, quiet street one block from downtown. All the restaurants, shops, ice cream, espresso, the marina, and everything else was a 3 minute walk. We were able to spread out, relax, eat out, eat in, talk, and laugh our heads off. This house has everything you will need for a wonderful get-away to Suttons Bay!

The home was spotless and very well kept. The rooms were small but to be expected in an older home. We used it for home base for a weekend family wedding. The owners have a tendency to hover. Even though checkout was 11, they came into the rental at 10. My brother was in the shower and his son was still asleep.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review of the property. So sorry about the confusion concerning check-out time. The owners occasionally clean and they understood checkout was at 10. That was my fault and it will not happen again. However, you were most gracious at the time and the owners commented how much they enjoyed meeting you!! If you are in the area again, I hope you will contact us! Mary Lou
