Summer Getaway

  • 5 of 5

The home was beautiful! It was exactly as described and then some. The location was walking distance to town, the marina, lovely shops and restaurants. We highly recommend this vacation home to families visiting the area. We enjoyed coffee on the porch in the morning and drinks in the backyard in the evening. It was perfect!

Beautiful home, relaxing town, excellent property!

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from a fantastic weekend in Sutton's Bay - and we couldn't have been happier with our choice to stay here. The home is beautifully kept up, super clean, and incredibly welcoming. There was another review about the home having small rooms and filled with knickknacks - but frankly, that's exactly why we loved it. There was nothing overwhelming about any of the decorations - and it was wonderful to explore the house and the historic photos and items throughout it. I wouldn't expect an open floor plan from looking at these photos, so I'm not really sure why it was a surprise to anyone. We had a group of 7 staying, and it was great to have some many areas to hang out. The front porch was perfect for having a drink at the end of the night, and the den was exactly what I needed to just read by myself for a little while. The backyard is gorgeous, filled with beautiful flowers. We absolutely loved everything about this house, and can't wait to return next summer.

Good place to stay in Suttons Bay

  • 5 of 5

Overall the house was great and our group very much enjoyed ourselves. The fire pit in the back yard is a big plus!

The only thing that was a little annoying is that we were only provided keys for the back porch door, so whenever we were leaving the house one person had to lock the front door from the inside and run around. Also, the downstairs bathroom has a tub, but no shower. So even though it's 2 full bath, there's only one shower.

Comfortable house for a family group in visiting in Spring or Fall.

  • 3 of 5

Lovely yard and comfortable, clean house for spring or fall. I would describe it as having one and a half baths. The bathroom on the first floor only has a claw foot tub, no shower attachment. Unfortunately, the house was stuffy on the first floor as well as the beautiful glassed in front porch because very few small windows open. So I will only recommend this property for spring or fall. Very good location, walk to everything that Suttons Bay has to offer. -Mary

Perfect location and exceptionally clean

  • 5 of 5

Our two families had a great week staying in this house. It's clear that the house is very well maintained and it was exceptionally clean upon arrival. It was the perfect location with a quick walk into town for coffee or ice cream and to the playground and beach. It was also an easy drive to other area attractions such as Sleeping Bear Dunes, Glen Arbor, Fishtown in Leland, and the many wineries in the area. The front porch and backyard made for excellent play spaces for our kids during the day and wine drinking spaces for the adults at night. The kitchen is well-equiped for cooking and grilling at home. Even though there are two bathrooms, there's only one shower, which wasn't an issue for us but may be for groups with more adults. The house is full of beautiful antiques and we kept a close eye on our kids while inside, so if you have rambunctious kids this may not be the right house! The street is very quiet, even during a holiday week, which was much appreciated with our young children. Mary Lou responded quickly when we contacted her about check in and when we had a minor question during the week. All in all, we had a great stay and are looking forward to returning to the area again next summer!
