Why Steve Geruso chose Newport East

Love this property for the simple reason if you choose to be in the action of down town Newport "Thames Street" Americas Cup Blvd you can have all that in 5 minutes or just relax in back yard with farm like setting along with peace and quiet. Very relaxing.

What makes this farmhouse unique

Convenience and location to everything Newport has to offer. Close to 2nd and 3rd beach aprox 1.5 miles. 5 minutes from famous mansions on Bellevue Ave as well as down town Newport, Goat Island and Fort Adams of course depending on summer traffic .

Charming Home Away From Home

  • 5 of 5

Everything about our stay was very enjoyable. The house is in a very convenient location. We enjoyed a mansion tour, the Cliff Walk, and a scenic ocean drive. The house itself is adorable. It has a modern kitchen and other modern amenities, but retains charming details of a bygone era. We highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a lovely, comfortable place to call home while visiting this area.

Highly recommended

  • 5 of 5

The location on Green End Ave. is a welcome compromise between the heavy traffic which has come to characterize downtown Newport, and the convenience of Middletown beaches and other attractions in the area. The house itself was immaculate, well maintained, with lots of nice appointments/appliances. The owner was very accessible and responsive to any questions or comments we had, from the beginning of the rental process until the prompt return of our security deposit at the end. We had a wonderful time there.

Steve was readily available, responded to calls or texts immediately, easy to work with.

The property, was beautiful. The house is well-maintained, the outdoor gardens and flowerbeds were all in bloom, the seating area outside is an extension of the house well-kept, and anything you needed from a grill, to umbrella, beach chairs, all available from homeowner. The location is perfect for either going to the beach, or going to downtown Newport, both are only minutes away. The only suggestion, or change I would make would be to have twin beds or bunkbeds in one of the rooms , The rooms are small so I'm not sure two beds would fit, we made it work, so wouldn't really consider it a downfall, but an suggestion, for families with siblings who won't share a bed.

Located less than two miles from a choice of three sandy beaches and the beginning of the Famed Cliff Walk and the10 mile Ocean Drive. Quick drive less than three miles to Downtown Newport. Walk to protected lands for hiking and bird watching. Great location close to everything but just far enough away from the bustle of Downtown. Just 2.5 miles to Salve Regina University and many museums and the Gilded Age Mansions. One mile form Easton Beach Pavilion where there are many activities including Save the Bay Aquarium, kids can touch and feel local marine life, bounce house and slide, live family entertainment every week, skate boarding, volly ball tournaments, playground, bike rentals, bumper boats and great carousel. Second Beach is where you can take surfing lessons, kite surfing and wind surfing too. At the east end of Second Beach is the Sachuest Point Nature Preserve with walking trails along ocean as well as tons of wild life. If you enjoy hiking, i suggest the Norman Bird sanctuary which has awesome walking trails to a cliff with great views and tons of birds to see.
