About the property

Our truly unique slice of heaven awaits you on Pensacola a quarter mile wide our pristine snow white beaches and emerald Gulf of will be the perfect vacation. The boardwalk is nestled on our sound beach and yet just a 4 minute walk to the Gulf. This is the perfect location for water sport fanatics. Your accommodations are beautifully decorated with comfort being a high priority. Enjoy the tranquility in the spring, fall ..winter and well hidden secret, the weather is fantastic and the accommodations affordable. Monthly rentals in the winter - white sand versus white snow!

Up to six guests can comfortably sleep here in two bedrooms. Both bedrooms have full-size beds, and a futon downstairs and couch space for two more. I believe one bed is queen size because full sheets didn't fit well. There is also a single cot available. Other amenities include WiFi, and a large washer/dryer.

Local activities include tours of the National Naval Aviation Museum (21 miles northwest), boat, jet-ski, and stand-up paddle board rentals, local fishing charters, and even attending a Blue Wahoos game (the local minor league baseball team who play 10 miles north at Pensacola Bay front Stadium). You could also take a refreshing drive north or south on scenic Highway 98, along which you'll find un-crowded beaches, quaint towns, plenty of shopping, and local eateries.

Also, Fort Pickens State Park is must see.

Ft. Walton has dolphin show - Gulfarium.

Zoo a few miles from Walmart.

Destin has a great outlet mall :) an hour and half away

We now accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express & Discover, 3.5% service charge added to your total. I prefer personal checks because YOU save lots of money! I am going to deduct half service charges from deposit which turns out to be about $50 - $120!!!! Crazy. So personal check is much better! I tear up deposit check when you check out.

There are 2 1/2 baths one off each bedroom and one off the family room.

There are 3 beautiful decks where you can view the water and sunsets that are completely private and not shared.

The kitchen is fully stocked for cooking. There is a charcoal grill and water play toys!

There is wireless internet service. There is cable. There is a DVD and CD.

There is a futon and comfortable couch for naps!

On the deck downstairs, there is a hammock and picnic table painted by my amazing daughters :) The picnic table is being repainted and is a work in progress :)

We share a beautiful pool. There is a volleyball court as well.

A free trolley service runs all through summer. Grab a ride. Go have a fresh drink or two.

I had a terrible family in March. They broke my blinds and left me caramel ice cream or something ALL OVER my steps. I worked to make things okay but if you aren't going to take care of our condo, don't come. I will not refund their money. If you see something out of order, text me, let me know so i won't hold your family responsible. My cleaning lady cleaned before family was there and said she didn't see any of it.

About Claire

My daughters and I have owned this condominium. It has been our home away from home. Now, they go to UGA GO DAWGS but I am a true GATOR ;)

My girls and I have worked hard. The only request is that you have a fun vacation but please respect our hard work. Blessings. Enjoy God given sunsets off bay. Absolutely the most beautiful.

Claire purchased this condo in 1998

Why Claire chose Florida Main North West

Very secluded. We own a corner unit which gives privacy - no sharing deck with anyone.

What makes this condo unique

The sunsets at Pensacola Beach are amazing. The bayside is very safe for small children. My girls grew up here catching hermit crabs and such :)

Guestbook comments from the owner

Family fun!

  • 5 of 5

My sons and their girls and I really enjoyed our time here. It was such a homey feeling staying at the condo. This was very convenient to both the bay and the beach. Plenty of good places to eat and see. I hadn't been to Pensacola Beach in over 45 years and it was great visiting there again. We definitely will visit there again! Claire was so gracious and fantastic to work with. God bless her for sharing her place with us!

Nice, quiet, and friendly place.

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our whole experience! The condo was clean and homey. Most of our time was spent on the 2nd floor balcony. The ocean waves were really strong during our stay. So the bayside beach right out back was a great place for the grandchildren. We would highly recommend Claire's condo, and will more then likely stay there again ourselves.

Perfect condo and location

  • 5 of 5

Really nice accommodations. Very clean and spacious. Claire is very nice and wonderful to work with! Perfect for families with small kids since it is so close to both sides of the beach. The gulf is nice for the bigger waves and the sound side for the kids to play at. We will definitely be booking again in the future!

Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

This place really does have everything, and felt like home. Steps away from the Gulf, quiet-- really just a perfect location to relax. We will be back for sure...in fact, on the second day of our stay, my husband was already asking how soon we could book it for next year! The owner was wonderful to work with, too!

Wonderful February Escape

  • 5 of 5

We had an amazing time at this condo. Our first visit to Pensacola Beach and we loved it! The condo comes exactly as advertised. The location was amazing: walk the length of the condo parking lot and you are on the beach on 'the sound"; or walk 100 yards in the other direction and go across the street and there is the public walkway to the glorious beautiful white sand beach. Condo is great: balconies where you can see the water; on a few windy nights you turn off heat or A/C, open the patio doors and you can fall asleep to the sound of the waves from the ocean. Condo decor is beach themed, very pretty and pleasant. Bedrooms are large, and bed is comfortable. If you use both bedrooms, they are quiet and private. Large comfortable living room with cable TV, internet, electronics --but we hardly spent any time doing that. This room has a problem carpet: needs either an update, or a proper re-install to get rid of a large wave or bulge; definitely not a problem for us, as we did not spend a lot of time in this room. Appliances let you have self-survival: 5 major appliances which all work well. Some minor appliances: a charcoal-briquette Bar-B-Q that hadn't been emptied of ash for the last 6 or 8 uses; a modern Kuerig coffee maker, and an old style filter-type that had the spring missing so when you removed the pot for that first coffee, it kept on pouring coffee through the filter all over the counter; a garburator (that's a Canadian word; U.S. folks call it an in-sink garbage disposal) that works.

The photo shows two parking spots; one is covered for when it rains; perfect.

There are lots of beach chairs and bicycles which we used; beach umbrellas and inflatables for the kids (no kids with us so we didn't use). Inside there are board games if you need an evening diversion; good age range if you have kids.

Some minor quibbles: the maintenance man thought one of us was the owner. We offered immediate access, but he said he would come the day we left. He needed to fix some electrical switches (someone had installed a two-pole switch with a three-pole, so getting the balcony light to work was a puzzle); the top plug in one outlet beside the bed didn't work but the bottom one did; two bathrooms had fans that didn't work. I also had to to replace/change a couple of light bulbs but the owner had left a supply of those in the closet.

This place worked for us. Location was great; the condo was great; we would happily come back.

Owner's Response: Thank you, Mary. Sometimes, you don't know things are broken so thank you so much especially the coffee maker !!!! And the bathroom fans!!! Thanks for taking time, my fellow Canadians. Come back and get warm. Blessings, Claire

Map

We are located 2 blocks from Peg Leg Pete's. We have an amazing beach bayside which is awesome for small children. They can pick up shells and wade safely. The most gorgeous sunsets are right here :) We also have a private pier for our community.

Also, put put and go carts!

The zoo is about 30 minutes away. There is a water park in Ft. Walton about an hour away.

Fort Pickens State Park is historically filled.

Additional information about rental rates

Cleaning $125 + Tax
Refundable damage deposit $250
Tax Rate 11.5%

I refund the complete damage deposit if you cancel. If you use a charge card, I do not refund your service fees. I take a bite and only get $242 out of $250. I had a customer say it was false advertising. The service fee is a certain % of the total rental. It ranges from 42 - 75 so far this year. I will DEDUCT this service fee from the refund because the amount gets deducted from my final payment. I hope you see this as fair. It is my personal choice to receive personal checks = no service fees. Some families need to charge - I totally understand but I don't think this is my responsibility as far as payment. :)
