About Laura Rieff

Owners Pat and Craig have been life long friends, growing up in Mishawaka, Indiana. (Close to the Univerisity of Notre Dame). On a guys golfing trip to the Great Smoky Mountains in the 1980's, they enjoyed the area so much they wanted to invest in a cabin rental. Over the years each of their families have vacationed at the cabin and have many special memories of their stays there. It remains a favorite get-away with their adult children today.

What makes this cabin unique

Being able to pull right up and park at this cabin and be at the top of a ridge is really special. No stairs to climb here at all. In the fall, winter and early spring you can have a clear view of the Smoky Mountains from the screened in porch. Sit a spell with your special someone on the 2-seater porch swing and forget about the stressful, fast-pace world for awhile. Life is good!

Guestbook comments from the manager

My boyfriend and I decided to come down for a few days of "R & R" and that's just what we got! Your cabin is absolutely beautiful. We felt right at home. We were so busy during the day and so exhausted by night that we didn't ever make it in the hot tub, but maybe next time! Thank you for your warm hospitality and we look forward to coming back!

Cozy and cute!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at this cute and cozy little cabin! Just a couple small suggestions and complaints, the ceiling fan on the back porch did not work and we wished we would have had some kind of fan in our bedroom. Also we were visited every night by our raccoon friend who seemed to enjoy our garbage can. Other than that we loved it! In a nice location with privacy but also minutes away from everything! We hope to be back here soon!

Beautiful and peaceful place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

We ended up staying 2 extra nights in this cabin. It was so beautiful. Location was perfect and the people at the office were awesome. Very friendly to work with. Hot tub worked wonderful. Best we've ever had from renting a cabin anywhere. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need to prepare a meal too. No complaints at all. Will definitely remember this place in the future.

Small but cute

  • 4 of 5

We had a great time. On the last night we woke up thinking we were being robbed but it was just a raccoon that had broken into the screened porch and gotten into the garbage can!!!! Cute little cabin!!!

Awesome stay

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four enjoyed our stay at Ahh Rocky Top for 5 nights. It was close to town but far away to feel like you were alone in the mountains. Kids enjoyed the hot tub on the screened in porch. We ate breakfast out there. The bed was comfortable. The jacuzzi tub was my fav. The cabin had easy access and big enough for us to be comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with anything and everything you need. All you need to bring is food. Only complaint I had was the gas grill did not include a propane bottle. We were not aware of this. Being on vacation who would want to carry a propane bottle with them in their suv? Other than that no complaints. I loved having the washer and dryer to see about our clothes and not having to carry home dirty clothes. Thanks for lending us a little piece of your heaven. We enjoyed our stay so much!

The weather was goregous while we were there. We enjoyed all the attractions there in pigeon forge and gatlinburg. Our 4 and 5 year loved Dollywood and Dollys splash country. We recommend Hatfield and McCoy dinner show also. Thanks again!!
