This Simple & Clean beach house, located on a quiet, friendly street in the heart of popular Ditch Plains. With 2/3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen & open concept living room/ dining area....Ditch Plains beach is easy to walk to from this property, only a short stroll (2 & 1/2 blocks) so you can leave all the parking woes behind!

INSIDE: The house has everything you'll need for a relaxing stay, including central A/C (controlled by energy-efficient Nest Thermostat), Wifi, Energy Star Washer & Dryer, Navian Hot Water on demand, 3 flat screen TV's, etc. You will feel right at home, as soon as you enter and see the easy-going, beachy interior. With a classic 2 story configuration the house is tidy, open, comfortable & bright. Designed with up-to-date furnishings and decor.

The dining / living room has ample seating for 6. Enjoy movie watching in the living room with the 49" flat screen w/ updated surround sound system & a wood burning fireplace. The U-shaped kitchen is easy to work in and has had all new appliances installed. Both bathrooms have been recently renovated (2018) with one bathroom conveniently located downstairs next to the Guest Bedroom (Den) with a full sz pull out bed.

Upstairs; the generous master bedroom has a king sz bed (NEW!) & en suite to the upstairs bathroom that is spacious, complete w/ marble tiles, a soaking tub & separate shower. The 2nd bedroom is perfect for kids, with a bunk bed (twin over queen bed).

OUTSIDE: After the beach, rinse off in the private, large outdoor cedar shower. Watch the sun set on the West facing Deck, overlooking the back garden and enjoy a cocktail w/ BBQ dinner on the weber grille. The front & back lawns are very adequate in size for the neighborhood, wonderful for kids & pets to run around. Our recent additions to the landscape include all new plantings, new trees, and a bird & butterfly garden!

GUEST ACCESS: Guests have full access to the property; house, deck, front and back yard. 2 car parking in driveway.

PETS: Considered on a case-by-case basis. Upon Homeowner's approval, a pet deposit is $350, refundable if no damage found. A Pet Agreement must also be filled out and signed

Wonderful stay!

My family enjoyed the perfect beach vacation while staying at this lovely home. The house was perfectly set up with outdoor space in the front and back yard, an outdoor shower, beach supplies and an easy walk to Ditch Plains. The house is clean, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Highly recommended!

We absolutely loved our week in Montauk! We walked to Ditch Beach & played golf @ Montauk Downs!

terrific beach house

we couldn't be happier with our rental. alex was great and even asked if her son could leave books and toys for our sons. the house was well stocked and comfortable. we will absolutely rent again if available next year. we were sad to leave. thanks alex and chris for a memorable montauk holiday.

Loved our stay!

Every single thing about our vacation rental was perfect. Communication with the owners was awesome, as they were always easy to get a hold of and so helpful and accommodating. Check-in was a breeze and upon walking in we realized that the beautiful pictures we saw online didn't even do the house justice. Everything about the house was perfect... a super clean, beachy house that's more spacious than we had anticipated. Our son loved staying here. The kind owners really made it so easy to bring youngsters along on this week long vacation. It truly was the perfect family getaway, thanks to this beautiful house and the awesome owners. The house is perfectly situated, just a walk from Ditch Plains beach, and had everything we needed for an awesome vacation. We will definitely be back and are already planning next year's visit!

Perfect Montauk Vacation

This was the perfect vacation for my family. We felt as if we were at home, not just a rental. We felt welcome by the owner right from the start, and they were always available and willing to help in any way they could. The home was beautiful, kitchen and bathrooms all updated and immaculate. Beds and linens were all just as beautiful and comfortable. The location was perfect, quiet and just a few minute walk to a great beach. Would highly recommend it.

About Alexandra

We custom built our house. We saw this plot of land for sale many moons ago, driving around with Bear, our dog, in a little rental car from NYC. For my husband, who spent his childhood summers growing up on Martha's Vineyard, we dreamed of a little place where we could walk (not drive) to the beach everyday. So when we saw this land, we knew it would be perfect for us because of it's close proximity to the beach, but we like how nestled off from the main crowds it is.

It took three long years before we were granted building permits, there were a lot of obstacles to overcome due to strict zoning & limitations put on the land (all which squashed the original designs). But we took this time to blueprint again & re-designed every square inch of (what is now) the house . Working within only a small amount of given sq. footage, we kept the design open with a floor plan that makes best use of the space and their intended uses.

We're actually renovating again, since the house is now 13 years old, we've put in new bathrooms (2017/18) & will be re-doing the kitchen.

Montauk is distinctive; unlike any other area in the Hamptons. With beautiful, unspoiled beaches, it's raw beauty, hiking trails and land preservation make it feel 'untouched' even now. It's a vacation destination for families, fishermen, surf casters and nature lovers. Surrounded by water, Montauk has that " island" feel but without a ferry schedule! The location we live in is truly spectacular. The lull of the ocean, the sea breezes, the brilliant sky, the energy of Ditch ...thanks to the location, four large skylights & well placed windows this house captures all that perfectly!

What makes this house unique

HOMEOWNER owned home. Our home is special to us, bringing our family a great deal of joy... an often needed respite from all the hustle and bustle of city life. We enjoy renting it out when we are not enjoying it ourselves.

Montauk, New York, is a village at the east end of the Long Island peninsula. It’s known for its beaches, like Ditch Plains, with its strong Atlantic surf. At the peninsula’s tip, Montauk Point State Park is home to the 1796 Montauk Point Lighthouse. A museum in the keeper’s house displays historical documents signed by George Washington. Camp Hero State Park, once a military base, has WWII bunkers and a radar tower. THINGS TO DO: take surfing or tennis lessons, go parasailing, sail boating or charter fishing, whale and seal watching. Outdoor markets &/or fairs, movies, music on the village green most weeks in the Summer. Treat yourself to a massage &/or spa trip, visit the Salt Cave for restoration. Play golf (mini Putt Putt or Adult at the Montauk Downs). Hiking & walking trails abound in our state parks. Our local library has many fun, weekly activities for children. There are plentiful bars & restaurants to choose from.

JULY: $18,000 full month OR $4,500 per week
AUGUST 01-LD: $23,000 OR $5,500 per week

We prefer to rent long terms. July-LD, monthly, or 2 weeks. Discount for MONTHLY+ Rentals, ask Homeowner for details. Other rentals will be considered, but longer term rentals will be given top priority. No holds on weekly rentals.

*** DEPOSIT: $1,000 (or 10% of full rate for a weekly rental) is held as a the Security/Damage Deposit. Remaining balance is refunded within 30 days. FEES are taken out of the deposit (to avoid upfront & double charges).

FEES: $150 (one time House Cleaning, All linens linens & towels are cleaned for every rental) AND $50 per weekly pickup (or every 2 weeks for longer stays)


-Weekly rentals run Saturday to Saturday in 7 night blocks. Arrival is 3pm and departure is 11am to allow for cleaning. No half weeks, additional days unless Homeowner permits.
-Personal checks (or cash) only as payment. No credit cards.
-All utilities and Lawn maintenance included.
-50% due at signing lease, with balance due 30 days prior to rental.
-Rates are subject to change until contract is signed and with deposit received.
