Beautiful home!

  • 5 of 5

We rented this house for a family get together over the holidays, and loved it! Was absolutely perfect, great accommodations, amenities, kitchen was absolutely amazing, we loved hanging around the massive island in the kitchen. The photos don't do it justice, it's very chic yet rustic and homey. Made our family time together so much more special.

Gorgeous house with a a great location

  • 4 of 5

The location of the house couldn't be better. There was easy access to any location in the Mid-Cape area and a reasonable drive to Provincetown. We would highly recommend Craigville beach. It was the best place to go nearby for a beach day. We really appreciated the use of the 10 beach chairs and towels for our excursions to the sea. On our one rainy day the Edward Gorey House was a fun trip.

The kitchen was better equipped than any you could imagine. Everything we needed was there, sometimes in multiples. The grill was conveniently hooked up to the gas in the house. It was a mess, but the cleaning crew helped us deal with the ancient grease in the trap. All the dishes and glassware you could need were easily available including terrific serving plates for a group of 10 or more! We made espresso and ice cream with the amazing kitchen appliances they had.

We loved sitting outside in the very private back yard. The landscaping is beautiful and the neighborhood very quiet except for one afternoon when the neighbors were partying at the lake.

The deck on the lake was too covered with bird poop to attract us, so we never took advantage of the lake. It wasn't clear whether the private lake access just up the street was open for visitors to the house or not and it wasn't mentioned in the house manual.

A few things needed to be taken care of and it was sometimes hard to get hold of Kevin. When we did he got on the case right away. The hot tub was murky and needed cleaning and service. Luckily one of our gang knew how to manage the chemicals and the cleaning crew took care of emptying and filling. The trash had been molested by wild life and was strewn all over the back of the house. We were not able to find out the exact days the trash was collected or how and where, so we probably did not do a good job of that.

The first thing we needed to do was buy toilet paper and paper towels. It would be good to have a supply of those kinds of things on hand when guests check in.

All in all it was a wonderful stay and the troubles were minor.

We loved this place!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 10 adults and two children found this house to be a perfect fit for our vacation. We stayed 'home' more than we anticipated due to the weather, and enjoyed every moment of it. The house has a warm atmosphere, and the home owners did a wonderful job of making us feel completely welcome while at the same time letting us know the expectations for treating their property with the respect it deserves. The hot tub and the lake were a wonderful part of our stay as well. We left with very fond memories of a wonderful vacation on Cape Cod!

WONDERFUL HOUSE FOR A REUNION

  • 5 of 5

We loved Kevin's home. It was clean, spacious and the kitchen was for a gourmet cook!

Kevin was accomodating, attentive and when we asked for something to be repaired, he had the electrician there the same day!

We had young grandchildren and the island in the kitchen was perfect for them all to gather around to eat and do art projects.

We had two gourmet cooks with us and they found everything they needed in the best equipped kitchen that we have seen in a rental.

We also appreciated the website that Kevin provided to rent baby equipment (pack and play, high chair, double stroller etc.) It saved having to check all that on the plane.

The lake is quite a ways down a steep path which is not for the very young or the very mature!

A day trip to the Cape was very convenient. We loved that fact that Kevin's house was on a quiet street in a picturesque neighborhood rather than having the hustle and traffic on the Cape. The grocery store is close and there is a Whole Foods about 15 minutes away.

Definitely, we would recommend this home.

Beautiful Family Week

  • 5 of 5

Had an incredible stay at this fantastic home! Everything about the house was perfect for our big group of 13!! The kitchen was heaven especially for my family of chefs! We made this 'the room to be in' during our stay. It's amazing!

Every room was comfortable, clean and plenty of space for our little ones to play in and around the outside of the house.

The house has everything you will need and more for your stay which made it a true pleasure to vacation in. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub and the lake during our entire stay.

The lake was gorgeous and just a few steps down a hill from the house.

The owners were a pleasure to communicate with and made our stay very easy. They provided us with a ton of information about places in the area to grab food, entertainment, sights around the cape, etc. House is just 8 miles to Hyannis and close to some great beaches.

Highly recommend for a great getaway with the family!
