About Jack and Sheila Ullrich
Originally from Chicago and Kentucky, we met and married in Naples, FL and have been married for 24 years. We have raised our 4 children in Naples, and they have grown up vacationing at our cabin.
Jack and Sheila Ullrich purchased this Cabin in 1996
Why Jack and Sheila Ullrich chose Robbinsville
After many years of vacationing in the surrounding area, we purchased the cabin when our 4 children were small. We have created many lasting memories over the last 12 years with our family and friends, and enjoy sharing our place with others when we are not able to use it.
What makes this Cabin unique
Our cabin is close to many of our favorite outdoor activities, including boating and tubing on Fontana Lake, whitewater rafting on the Nantahala River, hiking on the Appalachian Trail, exploring the waterfalls at Deep Creek in Bryson City, mountain biking at Tsali, and just relaxing at the cabin while building fires inside and out, roasting hot dogs and smores, sitting on the front porch swing enjoying the hummingbirds feed and reading a good book, listening to the babbling creek that runs through the property, and soaking up the peaceful feel of the surroundings.

Super inviting and comfy cabin!
The owners were awesome to deal with and the cabin came equipt with anything you could think of! We'll def be back!
The cabin was ok once we found it and cleaned it....
The cabin was hard to find. There are no numbers or anything designating where the cabin is located. There are large signs that point you in the wrong direction. The cabin itself has no numbers on it just a small wooded sign at the bottom of the hill with no arrows or anything. Once we found the cabin, and made our way inside, there were cob webs in the entry ways. There was also debris falling from the ceiling that was on a chair in the living room. The upstairs of the house stays extremely hot while the lower level is freezing.
Will definitely do this again!
It was so much better than a hotel. Thank you.
Cabin is well stocked and clean. The beds are comfortable. Loved hearing the creek running nearby. We enjoyed the nearby hiking and scenic drives. Will return!
Charming Cabin in the Woods
My family very much enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It is clean, quiet and easily accommodated five of us. The Nantahala National Forest is amazing and the Fontana Dam, Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest and NOC are all close enough to make for fun day trips.
Just what we were looking for!
A well kept, clean and cozy cabin nestled deep in the mountains. Our kids (10 and 7) loved it and asked to return in the spring. We enjoyed hiking on the AT, to Yellow Creek Falls, and at Deep Creek. Perfect for a few night getaway.
Our cabin is tucked away and yet conveniently located to all of the areas activities such hiking the Appalachian Trail, whitewater rafting on the Nantahala or Cheoah, horseback riding, boating, fishing, scenic drives. An easy and scenic drive will have you in Cherokee, Bryson City or The Smoky Mountains in less than 45 minutes.
