Beautiful Home With Plenty Of Space, 4 Miles From Downtown Prescott


Welcome to our comfortable Prescott vacation home, located in the Forest Trails area off Iron Springs Road, just inside the beautiful pines of Prescott National Forest. This recently constructed (2014) gated community home is close to amenities and boasts four bedrooms, three bathrooms, two living areas, a game room, wonderful views of trees and Granite Mountain and new furnishings. A bright, clean, comfortable and open floor plan on two levels will all help build pleasant memories during your stay.

Located four miles north of the downtown Prescott Courthouse Square, the main living level includes three bedrooms – a bright master with a king bed, private 5-piece bath, large closet, 48” HD TV (stream only) with Blu-Ray player and access to the deck, as well as two additional bedrooms, both with a queen bed and desk. A full bath is located adjacent to these bedrooms. An open, vaulted ceiling family room is central to the home, and is furnished with leather seating and a gas fireplace with a 60" HD TV with cable above. The family room also opens to the rear deck with outdoor seating for four, a fire pit and gas grille. Enjoy your morning coffee taking in the pines and views. The rear of the property adjoins Camp Yavapines, which has helped preserve the views.

The kitchen has modern stainless appliances, including a Samsung French door fridge with a beverage drawer and bottom freezer, as well as a double oven gas range, microwave, dishwasher and garbage disposer. A fully stocked supply of dishware, utensils, cookware etc. will allow you to prepare pretty much whatever you need during your stay.

The dining area is set for six, but you can easily pull two more chairs to seat eight. The main level is an easy single step up in from the front door or the garage.

The lower level adds to the spaciousness of the home, and includes an open family area with a large 65” HD TV with cable and DVD/Blu-Ray player, a wet bar area and snack table, as well as a leather reclining sofa and leather rocking reclining love seat. From this family area, you can step out onto the covered patio with seating and fenced in space. The fourth bedroom (king) is also located on this level, as well as a full bath. A large, open, bright game room finishes off the space, and currently hosts a foosball table, billiards table, and some seating.

Most amenities needed are within about a five+ minute drive away – including grocery, gas, Starbucks, restaurants (check out Iron Spring Café some day for lunch!), banks, Yavapai Regional Medical Center, and even a Super WalMart. Our home is located in a newer gated community, and although the homes are relatively close to one another, the views in the rear of the home give the feeling of a much more private and peaceful space.

While it is not a retirement community per se, many of the residents are of retirement age – for this reason, we will only rent to responsible renters and families, and will require a signed contract upon confirming your reservation. This is not a party home or a gathering spot for friends not named on the reservation; NO PARTIES ALLOWED. Sorry - if you're looking for a party home - you'll need to look elsewhere...

A maximum of four medium sized vehicles allowed (2 in garage and 2 in driveway in front of the garage), and there is no on street parking available/allowed at any time.

We chose Prescott initially because one of our sons attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in town. We immediately fell in love with the Prescott area - especially it's milder climate and the people. There are still four seasons here - and the temperatures are substantially cooler in the summers than down in the valley of Phoenix! While we love our home, and we don't rent it out full time. Because we stay here too, we do our best to make it well appointed and comfortable for others, and find that we are continually adding enhancements to the home to make it more comfortable.

Nice house, so so location

House is quite simply gorgeous, view as advertised. The house is located in an active building site and, as in many of these new developments the houses are less then 10' apart with very limited parking and no legal on street parking. The house may sleep 8 but you better arrive in no more than two cars! Gated community, but wasn't a major inconvenience and the development is not that many miles from town. Signage to place is poor, if you arrive after dark as we did; good luck. Owner is most accommodating, returned my call about dead front door electronic lock the next day even though he was on a family vacation himself. Probably wouldn't return to this rental, but it is a lovely house. Note to landlord: If it were my property I'd provide a lot more coasters both upstairs and in game room. you have some very nice furniture and we had to resort to using scraps of cardboard to keep moist glasses off the wood!

Owner's Response: Thank you for the compliments on our home. We hope you enjoyed your stay and your time in Prescott. Although the houses in our community are relatively close together, they are situated to maximize views and privacy. We are four miles north of the Prescott square and just inside the Prescott National Forest, in an area where the goal tends to be to better preserve the natural beauty of the surroundings - this often means little or no street lights outside of the main town and larger communities. A benefit to this is that the stars can be seen much more vividly. While there are still a few homes left to be built in our development as of this date, all the immediate surrounding homes on our street and across the street have already been built and occupied. We can't do anything to change the parking; it is in the VRBO advertisement, as well as a bolded separate section of the rental agreement: 4 vehicles maximum, with 2 in the garage, and 2 in front of the garage door. No on street parking is available - and it generally has not been a problem for most guests. We've tried to be as clear and up front about the parking. It's actually kind of nice not to have other people parking in front of the home - it somehow seems more private. All guests are sent detailed directions to the home, but regardless, if arriving after dark, it can be challenging, particularly when you don't know the area. Fortunately there is a garage door opener to use after that initial arrival - the inside garage lights come on as the door is opening and can be seen from the street. Again, we thank you for choosing our home . Thanks also for the great suggestion for more coasters! We have already purchased several to be spread throughout the home.

Great relaxing home

Our family spent Thanksgivings week at this beautiful very spacious home. Looking at the view in the back of the house felt like we were in the middle of the woods. There was a deer family to watch with the binoculars that were furnished. Grandkids loved the game room which was downstairs and kept the noise down. Home is very welcoming. Thank you Danny.

Beautiful home - the perfect spot to stay for our time in Prescott!

A beautiful home that has been thoughtfully set up to welcome guests. It has everything you need - we just bought groceries on our way in and we were all set. Also - it's in a great location - Uber and Lyft rides were just $8-12 to get into town. Highly recommended!

Beautiful, well kept property in great location - fabulous views!
