Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
Had a great time. House was wonderful; However this property has many stairs both inside and out. Keep in mind for small children and elderly.
Rental is placed in a quiet mountain area close to downtown Truckee. Very peaceful. Lots of room for our family of five and space to spare (beds, too). Highly Recommended to other families.
One of the best vacation houses we've been to. Very clean. We are very particular with the having a good night sleep esp after being tired with the long drive and exploring the places. The beddings were freshly changed. They also have quality towels. The kids love it in here. We will really recommend staying here or will invite other friends to join us next summer!!
My family stayed here for a week vacation and overall came away disappointed in the experience.
What was good - the location and layout of the home was nice. Definitely met our needs and allowed us to do what we wanted. The area is beautiful, quiet and people around the home were friendly.
What wasn't so good? The home is in large part in a state of disrepair and needs a lot of work before I would consider renting again. The freezer struggled to keep items appropriately cold and a shelf in the fridge was broken. A towel rack was literally hanging from the wall by a "thread" to point where we could not use it. One of the smoke alarms was inoperable - actually removed from it's mounting. The cooking utensils and other items were in varying degrees of cleanliness. There was a dirty towel left on the back of one of the bathroom doors. The home just wasn't as clean as we expected. Some of the furniture was near the breaking point. If TV is important to you (not that it was key for us) - it is on its last legs. Tube TV with very dark picture.
If you do stay, keep the phone number to the agency handy. The lock box combination changed in the middle of our stay and we were locked out of the house for a time - until I was able to get in touch with them and get the code to access the backup key box.
If I were to do it over again, I would not stay here.
