Skiers who visit in winter will be pleased to take on the cross-country courses and slopes of both Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows. For a unique adventure, take a dog sled snowmobile tour.

In summer, there's hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. No matter the time of year, be sure to treat yourself to a massage at Trilogy Spa. If your passion is stand-up paddle boarding, you can venture out to Tahoe City Marina, just eight miles away.

Do-able

  • 4 of 5

First, the management company was slow to respond. VACASA. No coffee maker for 3 days, whats that all about. Their excuse there was flooding elsewhere in the county and they had to attend to those properties......usually those issues are covered by INSURANCE not a management company. The router started to foul up and needed to be re-booted.... it was in the unit downstairs but in about 2 hours it was back up. Someone gets a gold star.

Other than those 2 issues the unit was rather livable and comfortable for our 2 week stay. No real complaints. There is no washer or dryer for those wondering. Kitchen was well appointed with gadgets, pans etc. and appliances were very nice..... in fact some of the "stuff" in the unit was not junk at all but a better quality than most rentals. Down pillows and bedding. 2 twins? Ugh? No vacuum.

Location was walk-able to the village and tram. Parking was adequate but you should tandem park if you have more than one car, don't hog all the spots. With snow parking could become a challenge unless everyone thinks of the others. And no you're not special.

All in all, it was very livable and relatively quiet. The're were no parties while we were there. Nice and quiet. Someone had a dog that tore up trash and stuff on the balcony AND first floor one day and the dog owners did not clean any of it up. We did not use the fireplace.

All in all, it's not elegant, but totally do-able. It's cozy 80's and comfortable. Unless you're so special that you can't take care of yourself...... do it.

We paid a fair price.

Small, pleasant condo

  • 5 of 5

Well-equipped condo was clean and comfortable. Two twin beds plus a fold-out couch make it good for friends or small family. It's about a block and a half walk to the main Tram so make sure you can carry your gear! Setting is quiet. Staff responsiveness and attitude were outstanding. Note that there's no laundry in unit, so bring extra clothes, budget time for a laundromat run or just wash your base layers in the sink.
