Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
Like new, very comfortable furniture, bed and patio furniture. Lots of places to eat nearby(try Eat Chow) and although you cross a busy street, the beach is close. It's a popular surfers beach so it's entertaining and less crowded then where the boardwalk is.
The house furniture, beds and outdoor furniture was very comfortable. We spent a lot of time on the porch on the couch just reading and talking to the friendly neighbors. There are lots of great restaurants just a short walk away. You have to cross a busy street to get to the beach buts it's close. It's a surfing beach so
You can enjoy watching surfers every day. The property is in between Huntington and Newport Beach so there is no boardwalk in front of the beach for walking but it's a nicer beach and quieter than the one off the boardwalk in Newport.
Furnishings were new and couch was comfortable, love the patio area and close to the beach. Charming town and neighborhood, great cafe and shops near by. House was clean and beds were comfortable. Granite in bathrooms and kitchen. We had a blast and will definitely come back!
We came to Newport for a wedding, and for the most part, the rental worked out great for us! There were 5 of us, so plenty of room for our group. The patio was great, we spent a lot of time out there since the weather was so amazing. The rental was furnished pretty well, had all the basics that we needed during our stay. There were a couple small maintenance issues that are easily fixable (typical rental things - not a big deal), and when we contacted Vacasa and our property manager, they were very responsive and helpful!
The location was great! Less than a 5 minute walk to the beach. There was a Café and Convenient store next to the rental which was awesome! They had breakfast, lunch, snacks, beer, wine, medicine, beach items, etc. There were also lots of cute restaurants within walking distance of us. You do have to drive to Balboa which is where Newport's main area for shopping and dining, but it was an easy and cheap Uber ride to get there. Huntington is also about a 6-8 minute drive, so it was nice being so close to both areas.
The garage is very small, so if you are planning on driving, try and bring a smaller vehicle. Our regular size Escalade BARELY fit, but we did fit it in there! There is limited street parking also so I would recommend to plan accordingly.
A couple things they could improve on: new mattresses! The beds were pretty hard and very uncomfortable, everyone in our group commented on this. Some of the blinds needed repair as well, one of the rooms was pretty bright in the morning.
All in all, it was a good rental, and worked perfect for our group on the short time we spent there! We had a great time, and would rent again.
Great place! Clean & close proximity to the beach. The house could use a BBQ grill. SUV's won't fit in the garage won't fit in the garage but street parking wasn't an issue at all. Other than that, this house is great. We'd stay there again!
