Why Yonder chose Swannanoa
We love so many things about this house and its location and hope you will too! It is secluded and feels like a tree house in the country, but it’s just 15 minutes or less from the Blue Ridge Parkway, downtown Asheville, and Black Mountain. The large, open living room, dining room and kitchen makes the house a wonderful spot for gathering with family or friends. Our favorite thing about the house is the outdoor space. Sitting in a rocking chair on the front porch looking out at the mountains and trees and enjoying the sounds of nature is the ultimate in relaxation. We love being able to experience all 4 seasons in Asheville, and we hope that you will have an opportunity to experience different seasons there.
What makes this House unique
This house is a warm, open family style retreat that has enough space indoors and outdoors to allow privacy for individuals, couples, or separate families vacationing together. Located in a quiet neighborhood, the property provides privacy but is only a short drive to all the great activities and tourist attractions such as hiking, restaurants, breweries, the Biltmore, cultural activities, and shopping. The wood-burning fireplace and cedar ceiling in the living room provide a cozy mountain atmosphere, and the living room has two sets of glass doors that open to the large front porch which allows you to feel like you are outside even when you’re inside.

Amazing weekend getaway!
I here stayed with a group for a bachelorette party and it was fantastic! The perfect size for our group to relax for a weekend getaway! The location was convenient and not too far from everywhere we wanted to go. Yonder was also great at communicating with me when I had questions about an early check in and they were great to work with! Highly recommend staying here if you’re going to Asheville with family or a medium size group of friends!
We had a group of 12 and it was a great stay! We even had snow this weekend which made it more magical! Only about 20 minutes to downtown Asheville- so we were able to go to breweries a whole day we stayed. Lots of games: corn hole, basketball, ping pong, and even board games! Definitely will come back!
Thank you for your 5 star review! Glad you were still able to enjoy your vacation as well as the Winter Wonderland. Let us know if we can assist you in the future.
Great location and accommodations
Great house with everything we needed. Game room was a nice added amenity. Had plenty of space to relax and sleep. Great location as it was an quick ride to and from downtown Asheville as well as other attractions in the area.
The Yonder team absolutely loves this kind of helpful review feedback from guests, which offers key information for future guests.
Beautiful and comfortable home away from home!!
What an amazing get away in the Asheville area! This home is beautifully decorated and has absolutely everything our family needed. No detail left out. Owners have local decor throughout and plenty of room for all ages. Grounds are a nature lovers dream from a screened in porch with a walking path and a front porch with rocking chairs to the view of the mountains. Very clean and very comfortable!!
Great setting for a family get-away
The Blue Ridge Retreat was a wonderful setting for all my children and grandchildren to join me for a long week-end. Everyone had a comfortable place to sleep, the kitchen and eating area were fabulous (we fixed our own breakfasts plus dinners cooked on the gas grill), and the entertainment options were over the top. Competition in arcade basketball, ping pong, and cornhole was enjoyed by all ages. This place is a winner!!
Relaxing get-away for parents and kids
The house was up to date with plenty of room for 3 families with kids and the grandmother of the family. There was plenty of room for the adults to hang with adults and the kids to play with kids and not have to worry about getting in the way of the adults. The house was close to many things we traveled to in Asheville.
