About Connie Johnson

This property has been in our family for over 50 years. My grandparents bought it as a cottage and passed it down to my parents, who later winterized it making it a year round home. We've always called it "The Cottage". We lived in Buffalo but my siblings and I all grew up spending every summer here. I was lucky enough to purchase it in 2014 and keep it in the family! Its a very special place to make lifelong memories.

Beautiful cottage in a tranquil setting on the lake

  • 5 of 5

This property is situated on the lake with its own private dock and has all the comforts of home. Beautiful well kept home and property. My family and I enjoyed the sunroom on the back overlooking the lake and evening sunsets sitting around the campfire or watching the wildlife as we sat on the dock. The property owner is delightful to communicate with and made sure our stay was exceptional.

Best place we have stayed in the past 10 years

  • 5 of 5

Connie,

Thank you very much for letting us rent your cottage for the week of 7-22 thru 7-29. Let me just say that you cottage was the cleanest place we have rented and stayed at over the past 10 years. We are just a bunch of fishermen who just want to fish and have a nice place to stay. We have been doing two trips a year for over the past 10 years or so and we have been travelling from Alabama to Lake Champlain to bass fish. We really enjoyed your cottage. Your cottage was at the midpoint of the lake so it made it very convenient for us to fish either the upper or lower part of the lake. The fishing was not the best at the beginning of the week but that was due to the weather and it eventually cleared up around midweek and the fishing picked back up.

Your cottage worked great for the four of us and it reminded me and took me back to memories of my grandparent’s house when I was a kid. I loved the attention to detail from the original crystal door knobs, claw foot tub, and other details that you kept in place. I loved it and wouldn’t have changed a thing, your cottage was spotless when we arrived and we felt right at home. We met your neighbor Jim and his wife, they were very nice to chat with. We also met your cousin Don next who was working on the house next door to yours.

Anyways just wanted to let you know how much we liked your cottage and appreciated you renting it to four fishermen from Virginia. When we come back to fish your lake we will be contacting you again to rent your cottage.

Thank you again (Hookmasters)

Chris.

Fantastic!

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was much more than we expected; clean, well stocked, appointed with pictures, etc... that were perfect, two brothers in the area who took care of any incident or question, a GREAT dock & fire pit and the best porch I have ever seen - three walls of sliding windows and a 6' sliding door, all with screens. Rent the cottage and expect to be amazed!
