Clean affordable home base for hiking and biking in a recreational heaven
Remodel is now complete on the inside. We think it turned out really well. We replaced all of the doors, cabinets, flooring, bathroom fixtures, painted etc. Our first guest arrived July 1, 2015.
Next we will be working on the outside/yard area.
There are two bedrooms, one is larger than the other. One has a king bed and one has a queen size bed. We provide all linens and towels.
We call this a "make your own bed and breakfast" place. We do have complimentary pancake mix and syrup to get your day started right.
There is a large space for RV parking besides having a parking area in front as well as on the street.
We are in the process of putting in an outdoor eating area with a shade canopy. We also have a barbecue to grill up a wonderful steak or some chicken.
There is a washer and dryer there for your use along with internet service.
We have a DVD player if you want to watch a movie you bring or check one out at a nearby Red Box location. We also have ROKU so be sure to bring your Netflix password. NOTE: There are no antenna channels available.
The area is nice, lots of trees and hollyhocks. Our property address is 21 E. 70 N. La Verkin, UT 84745 if you want to look at the street view. The pictures you see will not be what you see when you come since they were taken long ago and we have painted etc. The home that is to the West of us is not that pretty, but I don't think you are coming to Southern Utah to compare houses, you are coming to have a wonderful time for yourself going biking or hiking or just getting away. We are very proud of our reviews and don't want anyone to say ' Hey I had a great time and it was just as described, but there was an ugly house next door.
We would love to have you book with us and become another one of our satisfied customers.

About Monica Murset
Hi! I am Carolyn Murset. My husband and I moved to southern Utah 30 + years ago. because of the magnificent scenery and the equally magnificent people. We had two children when we moved here and now have five. We have 13 grand children who all love this part of the world. It is no wonder so many people visit here, and then end up staying. My husband loves to take pictures and has hung a few at our properties for you to enjoy. He is partial to black and white photography. Our youngest daughter also seems to have caught the bug and you will also see some of her photos as well. I love to sing, act, play the guitar and have hundreds of other interests. It was my idea to start down this road with a vacation rental and we believe it has been a great thing for us and for our fellow travelers. We like to travel, but don't seem to do it as often as we would like to. In fact, we just got our passports!
Monica Murset purchased this House in 2007

What makes this House unique
If you are coming to Southern Utah to take in the scenery, having a home base is invaluable. You can make a pack lunch and come home to crockpot meal or barbque and save a bundle. This is on a very quiet street away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. (We consider St. George to be the big City), but still close enough to a Walmart and Costco if you like.

Great place for a base
Stayed here to enjoy the Zion Canyon and some golf .
The place is clean , comfortable and cozy .
It was well stocked although the pots could be updated . Very scratched .
The are is quiet but feels safe
Would recommend this unit and stay here again if we return to the area
Clean, comfortable with many amenities
Comfortable bed, well organized kitchen, thoughtful amenities, quiet location. About 30 minutes to Zion.
We had a wonderful time staying at Monica’s home while visiting Zion. It took us about 20-25 minutes to get into Zion national park each day and the home had everything we needed from a functional outdoor grill to a washer and dryer. We were closely located to downtown La Verkin in addition to a Walmart for groceries if you preferred to not eat at a restaurant each evening. Would definitely recommend this place for someone looking to stay near Zion national Park.
Well kept, great location
We really enjoyed our stay! We were there primarily for hiking and Zion and Bryce. The unit was clean and well kept. We would definitely stay here again.
I loved it
It was in a good location near Zion park, nice and homey. Everything you need!
Great Place, Great Price, Great Location!
Just spent a couple of days here for the early holiday season. Was a great alternative to a hotel. Very clean and comfortable! Loved the Roku, so we didn't miss any of our Netflix shows :) We found it a perfect location between Zion and St George. We would spend the day at the park, come home and rest, then head to St. George for a nice dinner! Would highly recommend!
Although La Verkin Utah may not be a well known name, this small town is at the center of a myriad of destinations.
