Guestbook comments from the manager

This is a fantastic place to stay. The location is perfect. The beach house is not fancy but clean, big and exceed all needs. The snorkeling is really good. One day early in the morning we snorkeled with 15 dolphins! The owners are very helpful, hospitable and friendly. This place can't be beat!!!

Great place. A few more beach chairs to take to care would be great. Smaller coolers might be good as well. Thanks so much fantastic stay!!!!!

3 night stay

  • 4 of 5

This setting is ideal for people wanting to access the water to snorkel or kayak. There is no parking at the house and you must park across the small road which can be challenging as there is a public access area at the end and parking can be competitive. The home was clean and very well maintained by the property manager. If head height is an issue the downstairs dwelling may not be for you. We saw whales and dolphins from the porch and a hefty 3-4 foot free swimming eel while snorkeling. Not a lot of schooling fish but a wide variety of Hawaiian reef fish. Overall a very pleasant ,relatively private (there is an upstairs unit and adjacent cottage), and it is a wonderful setting. I live on the island and would definitely bring more family back here.

Downstairs unit of the house

  • 4 of 5

We loved the place. It was a nice surprise to find the nice big deck or "lanai" that we had not seen in the pictures which is where we spent most of the time. Also the location is the best. Amma is a wonderful manager and we are in the process of deciding on a date for next year, hoping for the whole house

Amazing Location

  • 5 of 5

This lovely house is just as pictured, well kept and fully stocked with anything you might including kayaks. The caretaker, Amma, was on hand if we needed anything or had questions. By far the most magical part of staying at this place right on the water was seeing the spinner dolphins every morning. There are two other accommoodations on the property, so privacy is important to you, this isn't your place, but everyone was friendly and respectful.

Fantastic waterfront location

  • 5 of 5

We were looking for a place by the sea for our final week of a three-week stay. I have to say that staying at this waterfront cottage was something we will never forget. We got the downstairs, very spacious apartment which did not offer the same view as the deck upstairs, which you cannot use if there are other occupants, but this did not bother us.

Kayaks that you can take out from the property, swimming with dolphins, beautiful sunsets - it left us breathless and never wanting to leave.

Loved absolutely everything about this place - paradise. Nice accommodation, quite location, relaxed friendly atmosphere, right next to beautiful coastline with kayaks available to explore, even saw dolphins out in the bay. Wonderful sunsets. Good snorkelling off beaches nearby. Need a car if want to explore island & reach shops for provisions. Didn't want to leave !

Bargain by the Bay

  • 5 of 5

Location, location, location. The location on which this two BR, two bath, is exquisite. In 16 days I went nowhere off the property other than the top of the hill grocery store (which had great prices). Comfortable lawn on front of the bay is a great place to watch for dolphins to come in within a quarter mile at 6am or when it's rough, watch the sea break dramatically. Kayaks to get you out there or swim. Two step snorkeling a four mile drive down the road to exquisite snorkeling.

The house on ground level has low ceilings, so six footers will have to bend. The house is a little dark, but fans cool you off in the heat of the day. You don't get to use the deck on the main house upstairs. But for me, it's all about location--this place has it.
