About Kathy Trumbull

After spending a decade in South Florida, we moved to NH 28 years ago and have since enjoyed its rural beauty, hiking, boating, golf, arts, music, and gardening. Our careers have evolved to our most recent endeavor in real estate, EXIT Realty Trailblazers. Our offices are in Berlin and Lancaster. We look forward to meeting our guests and sharing our passion for the area and our local favorites.

Kathy Trumbull purchased this bungalow in 2010

Why Kathy Trumbull chose White Mountains

We purchased this property in 2010 for our own future retirement home. It required top to bottom renovation, along with many upgrades for our own enjoyment. This home has been restored to its original Craftsman Bungalow Period style, including historically representative stenciling throughout, stained glass accents, new oak kitchen cabinetry, and columned front porch. We look forward to when we can enjoy living here full-time. But for now, we will share it with those we know will appreciate the comforts and conveniences we have created.

What makes this bungalow unique

This older, established neighborhood originally was home to employees of the former paper mills, which was the lifeblood of the Berlin area, hence the nickname, "The City that Trees Built". This home overlooks the City of Berlin, the Androscoggin River Valley, and the local mountains, including Mt. Forist. From the family room you'll enjoy all these views, and the beautiful sunrises light up the River Valley. Pay attention to the sky above the river and you'll likely spot hawks, eagles, and ducks hunting or traveling the river.

Neat and clean

  • 5 of 5

Property was neat and clean and had plenty of room for a family of four. The kitchen had all we needed and we were close to the mountains and skiing.

Excellent Stay

  • 5 of 5

Three of us stayed in this lovely house for a week while taking day-hikes on the Appalachian Trail, which goes over nearby ridges. The furnishings are first-rate and appropriate for this craftsman-style house. The kitchen is equipped just as you might wish for your own home, with every appliance and implement you might need. The owners, Kathy and John, were friendly and responsive to my questions. I have stayed in many vrbo properties, and this one is right at the top of my list.

Awesome place to stay in Berlin, NH

  • 5 of 5

This home was perfect for our needs. We stayed here for a week of atv riding and it didn't disappoint. The location provided very easy access to the trails. Once we arrived we were able to drive our atvs everywhere we needed to go. The home was spacious, clean, well equipped and very nicely remodeled. We met the owners Kathy and John upon arrival and they were some of the nicest people you could meet. We would definitely stay here again in the future. Thank you Kathy and John for letting us stay in your vacation home!

Escape to the North Country

  • 5 of 5

Bungalow on First was a perfect retreat for us. It was immaculately clean and cared for with all the comforts of home--even a deep-footed tub for a relaxing soak. It is close to downtown Berlin with museums steeped in logging history, and a short drive to Gorham where we had some delicious meals and started our dog-sledding adventure. It is also a short drive to Errol where we were able to snowshoe/hike accessible trails; even headed north to Thirteen Mile Woods for a nostalgic return after many years. We recommend it without any doubt and plan on returning in the near future. The Bald Family

Berlin home

  • 5 of 5

This house served our purposes very well for the 8 days we were in Berlin visiting family and friends. It's in an ideal location and is in superb condition. We even hosted a dinner at the place which worked out well. Be sure to visit Ste. Anne's Catholic Church which is a 20 minute walk from the house-- it's a National Historic Site. Sure hope this house is available for our return trip!

I was raised in Berlin and it was lots of fun returning.
