About Troy Snow
My husband and I live on the Property that we rent out year round. We take pride in our properties and are responsive to any of our renters needs. Since we are on property, we deal with our guests directly – from key exchanges, to cleaning, to repairs, and anything in between. All of our properties are fully furnished and have all the amenities of home!
Why Troy Snow chose Bryson City
We purchased this property because of the history. These cabins were used to house the men that were to build the road from Tennessee to North Carolina in 1943. In 1945 the city of Fontana was flooded. The flooding of this road & subsequent loss of access would become a major controversy that has still not been settled over 50 years later .In the late 1980's & early 1900's many of the cabins were sold & removed from Fontana to make room for new units; dozens of the little cabins are scattered around Western North Carolina today. I'm happy to say we have a little piece of American History. These cabins are A-6 & were built by Schultz Trailers, Inc. of Eckhard, Indiana. The road today is Fontana Road aka "The Road to No Where".
What makes this Cabin unique
We chose this property because of the quiet, quaint area & the history of it.

We enjoyed our weekend getaway. Cabin was cute and cozy. Owners were nice.
Beautiful cozy little place.
Very clean, perfect for the 5 of us. Right around the corner from town.
Great experience and value
Everything was top notch for us with this rental. Location, cleanliness, communication with owner...and don't let the size fool you. It is small in measurement, but very functional. It is quaint, but simple is good when you are in the mountains!! It is mere minutes to so many local attractions. We rented in BC last year for a lot more $$, and it was a horrible experience. We own a small place outside BC, but sometimes need extra space when everyone comes. We are so happy to have found this property to rent, and also to recommend to all our friends. The owner went out of his way to help us when we forgot some items, and was so quick to respond. And to boot...we always love doing business with a military veteran (thank you for your service).
Had a great time very nice owners , we will come back for another stay
It was a nice place, just a little further out than we would have liked.
we are 2 miles from downtown Bryson City, so we are not that far out at all especially from downtown and from the Smoky Mountain Railroad
Nantahala has awesome white water rafting as well as The Tuckasegee River. A must see is the Oconaluftee Indian Village, if you get there at the right time you will see Elk! Mingo Falls in Cherokee. Unto These Hills - is an outdoor drama about the Cherokee Indians, very interesting!
