About the property

Quiet street, close to city center, universities and leisure activities.

Just shy of a 1,000 square feet, the basement apartment was fully renovated completed in May 2015 and complimented with high end furnishings. Includes brand new 65 inch LED 3D TV, full cable package and Wi-Fi.

The location is close to the freeways, nestled between I-5 and 99 both less than a mile in either direction and a five minute walk to Green Lake. Provides the perfect location for the traveler wishing to see the sites of Seattle, visit students at the universities, all less than 2 miles away or travel down town for work or leisure.

The apartment is fully furnished including a Room and Board sectional, World Market dinning room table and plush queen bed and a king sized day bed in the living room. We have fully stocked the kitchen with all the amenities you could wish for your stay, including coffee, tea, spices and cooking necessities. A crock pot, coffee maker, kettle, waffle maker, spice rack, griddle, pots and pans are included. There are amble towels and bedding supplied, so all you need to bring are your clothes and food. We have added games, and toys and access to Netfix.

We live upstairs, so you may see us from time to time. Feel free to knock on our door if you need anything. However, we do try to stay as quiet as possible in the evening and early in the morning when we have guests. Our main floor (kitchen and living area) is between our bedrooms and the basement apartment.

The apartment is in the perfect spot for the vacationer, with easy access to down town Seattle 5 miles away either by car or the bus which stops 3 blocks away. This provides easy access to Pike Place Market, the Aquarium, Space Needle, Stadiums, Ferris Wheel as well as some of our favorite restaurants and shops.

Closer to the home, Green Lake is 3 blocks to the north, which features an array of activities, including a park for the children, 9 hole pitch and putt golf course, swimming (indoor and in the lake), walking / running the 3 mile loop, cycling, roller blading, dog park, lawn bowling, soccer, baseball, horseshoes, basketball and a skateboard park and numerous restaurants and bars.

The Woodlawn Park zoo is less than a mile away, the Ballard Locks and Fremont Troll around 2 miles. On hot summer nights time spent at the local beaches either Golden Gardens or Matthews Beach, both are around five miles, or closer to home the north side of Lake Union at Gas works Park is less than 2 miles away.

We chose this property as it had historical charm and provided excellent leisure activities nearby as well as close proximity to the main roads and the best schools in Seattle. We undertook a back to the studs renovation to upgrade the house to modern standards while still retaining its character from when it was built in 1908.

What makes this apartment unique

The apartment is very well stocked for all your needs, including spices, towels and bedding. While we think the best things are outside of the home in the wonderful activities that are in Seattle, we have made the apartment as welcome respite from a busy day. This includes Wi-Fi a large 65 inch TV with Netflix and luxurious furnishings and heated tiled floor in the bathroom. No expense was spared to turn the apartment into a large and luxurious space for you to enjoy.

Clean and comfy

Close to downtown Seattle, clean unit with lots of room for family of 4. It’s a basement so noise from above can be bothersome. Kitchen and washer dryer are modern. Flying insects at the entryway is annoying.

Perfect place to stay for a Seattle family vacation.

This charming home in a quiet neighborhood had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. It was an easy drive into the city. We really enjoyed Green Lake, only a few blocks away, where we walked, jogged and enjoyed the water and some live entertainment. You can definitely hear the family moving around upstairs, but it didn’t bother us. We would definitely come back.

Comfortable Space in a Quiet Neighborhood

We loved our visit to Seattle, and I'm thankful we chose this basement apartment as our landing place. It was centrally located in the city and in a safe neighborhood. The owners provided so many supplies; they were thoughtful of everything you might need (including fun games/puzzles for our kids). The beds are comfortable, too. You can hear the owners moving upstairs (as you would expect), so be aware that there is noise. That is the only possible negative I could report! Thank you for a great stay!

Wonderful home base in Seattle

This is a lovely downstairs apartment, that makes for a very comfortable, private stay. It was quiet, decorated very nicely, and obviously well taken care of. The neighborhood is very walkable, I highly recommend this property.
