My husband and I met in Jamestown and knew we needed a place here. The Jamestown shore neighborhood was perfect beautiful sunsets and peace and quiet. Our cottage is small but we knew we would spend 90% of our time outside and we made it work
What makes this House unique
We love the yard for the dogs and kids, the proximity to the water, the great sunset views from the deck and the short walk to sunset beach. Its a cozy little cottage, it will never be big or fancy, just small quirky and filled with lots of fun memories.

Immaculately clean house, bright and sunny with balcony and porch. Beautiful water views from the outside sitting areas. House is well equipped and air conditioning keeps it comfortable. Owner is very responsive to texts. Beach is literally minutes away, water is lovely and there are not many people on it at anyone time. Jamestown is beautiful and Newport is moments away.
This quirky little cottage was the only one available in our price range during the week we wanted that would accept a dog. It turned out to be fine. We worked around it's limitations. We are two seniors, an adult daughter and an aged dog. Our dog couldn't use the spiral stair and so had to go around outdoors to get up or down. The second bedroom has only a child's bunk bed so our daughter had to squeeze into its limited headroom and be careful not to sit up. We appreciated the second toilet in a closet off the bedroom so we didn't have to go all the way downstairs at night. The kitchen was well equipped for us to prepare all our meals except there was not a single knife sharp enough to cut more than warm butter. We enjoyed being close to Sunset Beach for swimming and launching our kayaks, biking with little traffic on Seaside Drive, and an easy drive to our favorite spots, Beavertail, Sheffield Cove and Fort Wetherill. We loved our vacation.
Thank you for the feedback- wish you would have let us know about the full knife situation we are just around the corner and would have brought sharp knife in a sec. We will be sure that guests are aware of bunk beds- yes they are designed for kids. We also could have removed the top bunk for your convenience if we were made aware.

Great location! But the layout is VERY quirky
The location and view are great. The place is very clean. There is a laundry room, which is A MAJOR PLUS! The owner is fabulous and very prompt in accommodating requests. Best of all, this property accepts pets. But, Jamestown is infested with skunks, so bring Skunkoff!!! The quirkiness comes from the bathroom lay out...the ground floor has the only full bath, with a low knuckle scraping <6 foot ceiling in the shower, odd step levels and where a noisy dehumidifier must run constantly to keep up with the below grade ground floor moisture. No air conditioning on the ground floor either. The ground floor also contains the kitchen, seating area and bathroom but ground floor not usable due to lack of A/C. There is a very narrow and steep ( potentially dangerous) spiral staircase which is the only interior access between levels. The main floor has 2 bedrooms and living room fully air conditioned. The master bedroom has a quirky mini toilet closet with sink only. No commode privacy, no other master closet to hang stuff. ( bathroom is in the closet.) No privacy either from neighbors as most windows had no blinds or curtains on ground floor or main floor. Great place, great location, great view, great neighbors, great owner, but very very quirky!

We loved the place - close to water, perfect for dogs, comfy furniture, great cross breezes - an the nicest, most accommodating owners. We love the front porch, view of water, we loved sitting outside. We love the outdoor shower. Laundry is great. Views are awesome. So comfy and home, I would go back and would recommend to others.
Bunk beds are best for littlier people. But the single futon really helped - and the couch is very deep and comfy (feel like a super single).
The only feedback is the grill was not clean and we ignitor was broken, and we couldn't light it with a lighter - it didn't feel safe. Also, I wasn't use to an electric stove so cooking was challenging (but I am no good at cooking anyway!)

Rental Party: The rental party shall consist of the adult and child guests confirmed in the accompanying email. Guest must notify homeowner if there is a change in the number of adult and/or child guests stated in the accompanying email. 3. Maximum Occupancy: The maximum number of guests is limited to 4 persons. Absolutely no parties allowed without the prior written consent of the owners.
