'LAS BRISAS' means breezes in Spanish and is a beloved family-owned home nestled near Lake Michigan in Michigan City, Indiana. Located 1/2 block away from Sheridan Beach - many call this beach one of the most beautiful beaches within the Indiana Dune area. Our home offers all the conveniences of living near the Lake.
Our modest yet, modernized home has all the amenities with a charmingly curated lake house decor. The living room has a loft-like feel, it's open and spacious with views to the kitchen and sliding door to a small deck furnished with a gas grill, table, chairs and umbrella. The master bedroom has a full size bed, private bathroom with shower and tub - *the jacuzzi jets do not work and when used the jacuzzi pulls a lot of water from other showers. The second bathroom is located off the kitchen and living room. The upstairs is inviting and comfortable with three small rooms - (1) One queen bed, (2) Two twin beds and (3) One twin bed with television and dedicated window air conditioner for additional second floor cooling. Each room contains floor fans as well. Second floor can sleep up to six. The open floor plan kitchen has stainless steel appliances, basic kitchen appliances such as toaster, coffee machine, microwave, etc. as well as plate ware, eating and cooking utensils, silverware, among other kitchen-based needs. Front of house has two dedicated parking spaces with additional public parking across the street. A hose has been provided for washing off from enjoying the sandy beach. Also, a beach bin is located in front of the home containing basic beach equipment for guests use.
The Chicago Tribune has called Michigan City the 'Hamptons of the Midwest'. We are within walking distances to nearby Washington Park, its Zoo, Oasis Splash Park, Municipal Golf Course, the Marina and the beach with a new public pavilion. Shopping is easy with the Lighthouse Prime Outlet mall only a 3 minute drive. The Blue Chip casino is also nearby. Also, 20 minute ride to New Buffalo, Michigan home to many antique shops, specialty restaurants, beaches and seasonal fruit picking.
For those always on the go, hike Mt. Baldy, jog along Lake Shore Drive, or bike rt. 12 through the historic Dunes Highway (beautiful during fall). Golfing is also available at numerous courses. You could rent a charter boat for fishing, sailing or enjoy jet skis. Go into Michigan for blueberry or apple picking. Read or write the next great novel in our peaceful home. Get out for some great eating in Michigan City or nearby New Buffalo.
