Wonderful Experience, Incredible home with views to match
We've had the pleasure of staying in this home for the long term during an extensive renovation of our own home nearby. It was incredibly well appointed, comfortable, and stylish, matched only by the incredible friendliness and responsiveness of the owners.
The view of Norwalk Harbor is ever changing throughout the seasons - from the oyster boats drifting by year round, the passing of pleasure craft and small sailing regattas, and the vibrant bird life, it is intoxicating and the last thing you look at before you sleep - as well as the first thing you want to see when you awake.
The home has every imaginable comfort in furnishings, an incredibly well supplied kitchen, and premium cable on a large screen TV with surround sound and Sonos music system throughout the lower floor.
The owners were so responsive over the slightest issue (a tree sustained wind damage in a storm, and it was resolved in hours). They have provided a home so warm and well appointed you literally need nothing than your own clothes.
Although we live nearby, we were not as familiar with the immediate SONO and Rowayton areas until living here. So many restaurants, bars, pubs, interesting shops, and services - everything is close if not walkable. The easy walk to the SONO Metro North station gets you easily into and out of Manhattan in under an hour.
The immediate neighborhood around the house sustains it's seaside charm so you always feel like you are on vacation when you walk the neighborhood or come home from the City.
We loved the house so much that although we left the area for the summer, we are returning to it until our renovations are complete. In fact, many visiting friends and relatives enjoyed the home so much they outwardly wondered why we were bothering with a long renovation and why not just try and buy this home.
I can wholeheartedly and without any reservation recommend this home no matter what season you are seeking to stay there. Convenient, comfortable, stylish, and well appointed. You rarely find such a combination.
Cape style shingled house sits at the quiet end of a private sub-division called Shorefront Park. No through traffic and ideal for walking. House has great views of Norwalk Harbor and the comings and goings of oyster boats to Long Island Sound. The "Boat Lot" is across the street and affords kayak or SUP board launching at high tide. The South Norwalk "SoNo" area has top foodie restaurants, coffee shops and shopping.
