We were a little disappointed....

  • 1 of 5

Befor I booked the cottage I contacted the landlord multiple times about the location and if I can bring my dogs and let them play in the yard. She ensured me that even though there where a few neighbors they would be further away. When we got there we where very disappointed to see that all around the cottage where multiple other cottages and a RV park very closed by. People with dogs would walk by the cottage all the time. Therefore, we could not use the yard at all. The beach access is shared with the RV park and at least 7 other cottages. When we had a look inside the cottage we where shocked. It seemed that the whole cottage is unfinished. Insulation would hang from the ceiling and power outlets would come out of the wall. When we turned on the tub brown water would come running out. Also the cottage is in the second row away from the ocean.

Overall, if you are looking for a quite relaxing place to stay I would not recommend it. However, if you just would like an affordable place close to the ocean and dont mind having alot of people around you and an unfinished cottage than this is the right place.

Rustic, but Cozy

  • 5 of 5

This little cabin is rustic but cozy. It was a great little spot to spend the weekend away and would recommend this place to any of our friends. The first morning we arrived we went to brew coffee and noticed that the last vacationer's had left their coffee grinds in the brewing machine, which were gone mouldy. However, just a quick FYI email to Crystal remedied that problem within an hour. Her Mom shows up with a local brewed coffee's and a new coffee brewer for us. So sweet!! My 2 year old daughter even made a new friend there, a sweet little black kitty and very affectionate. Cute little place if your looking to get away.
