Yes! Stocky, our waterfront cottage, and it's ideal location to Tanglewood (2& 3/4 miles) for JULY and AUGUST with possible extensions on either end. We only have one tenant for our minimum summer season of 2 months. . Stocky a quaint, simple, rustic, 60's style cottage in a location where you can enjoy the outdoors with the 2 available kayaks . Yes, walk out the back door ,to the dock and step into the kayaks (with vests) and explore the lake or paddle to the community beach, or take a walk in the woods. Perhaps relaxing on the porch or deck, reading or watching the occasional parade of kayaks paddling by while absorbing nature's calming, quiet, green scenery is your preference. A "jewel" of a location ( guest stated) where city amenities meet the beautiful countryside , away from the hustle and bustle and crowds of city life, yet near the wonderful world of culture like Tanglewood ,theaters, museums , and yoga (Kripalo) and fine dining with many (zagat rated) restaurants located less than 4 miles from the cottage.
Possibly barbecuing and candlelight dinners on the screened porch are more to your liking , hearing nature's sounds and perchance to see a firefly glowing by, as if to say "HI", to lighten your night and thoughts. Meals on the porch use fewer steps having the convenient window pass through.
The simple kitchen ( no dishwasher) is equipped for your cooking and serving needs. The bar is a handy spot for your buffet, liquid or cookie breaks or a quick snack or lunch. Inside dining seats four, or easily more by just extending the table ends.
There are two bedrooms one with a new king bed the second has twin beds. The living room couch folds back down as a bed for that occasional guest. The single bath has a shower. There is no washer dryer at the cottage.
There is basic cable TV and basic wifi, ceiling fans in bedrooms, kitchen, and dining area.
For your cultural interests beside Tanglewood, there is the Berkshire PLayhouse, Rockwell Museum,Mahaiwe or Colonial Theater,Shakespeare Theater, touring summer cottages which are in reality, mansions, built during the Gilded Age .
Additionally, the cottage can be used as a home base for further New England exploration where scenic drives can lead you to Williamstown to see the Clark Museum or Mass Moca , shopping at the Lee Outlet mall , antiquing, or hiking Mt Greyloch, the highest peak in Mass. and many more opportunities for further adventure.
