About the property

Oceanfront, Spacious and Amazing, 2-bedroom/2-bath condo

Premium condominium newly redecorated throughout, from the splendid carved-glass double-door entry, custom cabinetry in the kitchen and baths, Jacuzzi tub and separate shower in the master bath to the Hawaiian-style furnishings and tropical art.

Views and sounds of the ocean fill the living room, dining area, kitchen and master bedroom. Two lanais are yours for watching whales (November to April) and sunsets and rainbows on the ocean (all year).

Swim in the pool at the bluff's edge and enjoy the tropical views all around you. A private tennis court is on the manicured grounds.

If you don't feel like cooking, stroll next door to the St. Regis Hotel for breakfast or an elegant dinner overlooking Hanalei Bay. Or, head to the neighboring town of Hanalei for a variety of interesting eateries.

Nearby Activities: golfing, seasonal swimming, sailing, kayaking, wind-surfing, horseback riding, snorkeling and much more. Beyond the two world-class golf courses that surround you are the picturesque old towns of Hanalei, Kilauea and Kapa'a, each with many little shops and artist studios for browsing and excellent dining establishments of all sorts.

Or, walk and/or bird watch on the spectacular Na Pali Coast or in Lumahai, at Na 'Aina Kai, a world-famous botanical garden in Kilauea, or at the Kilauea Lighthouse Nature Preserve, each only a short drive away.

Naturally, all popular beach and water sports are available in season.

Very happy with this rental!

Great! Blue ocean on one side, big mountains on the other. Lovely property with two lanai's. I'd say Pu'u Poa is perfect but there are a lot of steps between the parking lot and the front door. No problem with me though. The folks I worked with were professional and caring. We had a wonderful time here! Recommended.

Oceanfront - Almost PERFECT!! Great location, clean comfortable condo :)

  • 5 of 5

Puu Poa condos have a clunky 70's curb appeal, but the decks, views and furnishings are excellent! Our unit was spacious and nearly new cabinets, counters, fixtures, fancy TV with cable (barely used it but it's there) and everything needed in the kitchen and some awesome BIG fans, which can be important if the trade winds aren't blowing and BTW there is NO A/C which is kind of a thing there, like the infestation of Roosters & Chickens. Oddly the refrigerator was oldish? which was fine but seemed out of place given how NEW everything else was in the unit. Must be an island thing. The uncovered decks were awesome in the late afternoon and at night for star gazing but hot in the day and could use some attention to loose tiles. The unit includes some snorkel gear and a couple body boards and 2 sweet beach chairs which will be important. The electric grill was so-so, next time I'd skip the steak and just eat Poke' from Foodland every day, which we did. The entire quadrant of the island from the Princeville turn-off down to Puu Poa which is adjacent to the uber fancy and overly cold A/C @ St. Regis is in a separate class from the rest of the north shore. It's all very well maintained and clearly well kept so staying here you feel good every time you come home. The path down to Hideaways beach is sneakily right at the edge of the tennis court and provides and exciting decent but limits how much toys and snacks you can easily carry due to the steep rope assisted climb, but a cool place to check out - potential for very good surf right out front depending on the swells, we saw some SUP'ers get nice rides but the waves were further out on the reef so not a body board spot without some serious swimming. Do remember to close the screen doors as we had several local birds decide to come in seeking food as they were not deterred by the geckos which are also abundant. All in all, a great spot on a magical island. Don't miss the Na Pali Catamaran evening tour of the coast and the hike on the Kalalau trail - Tunnels for Snorkeling (Haena Beach) - Hanalei for overall awesomeness - Anini for some solitude if you like that sort of thing ;) - Thanks for a memorable stay we loved it...M&M

Great Condo, Great Location.

  • 4 of 5

The condo was great and very clean. It is in an ideal Princeville location. The kitchen was well stocked. The outside closet has an assortment of beach chairs, tent, snorkeling gear, boogie boards and tennis rackets! All the beds were very comfortable. There are fans, along with ceiling fans in every room which was wonderful since we visited in July. We loved going to Hideway Beach directly below the condos. The condo pool is great. I think it is a bromine pool which I loved! This condo does not have a/c, but most places don't. The additional fans definitely help with circulation. Loved having the washer and dryer too, especially with kids.

I would normally give a 5 Star review. Our only problem was with the rental company, who informed us the hall sink wasn't working after we arrived. Not a big deal. They sent out a service guy the 1st day and plumbers the 2nd day. The plumbers said they would need to buy a new sink and would be back on day 3. No one every returned. We called the rental company twice after the plumbers never returned. Each time they said they would check on why the sink was never fixed and let us know what was going on, but we never heard back.

However the condo was still great and I would rent again. You are on island time, so don't stress about the little things.
