Stay in this beautiful historic home. It is a luxurious and comfortable home that is conveniently located near The Comal River and Schlitterbahn in the heart of Historic Downtown New Braunfels.

Step back in time for a relaxing stay at this charming Victorian home. It was built in 1895 by one of the early German Settlers and is one of the oldest homes in New Braunfels. The house has been meticulously decorated with period antiques that are both beautiful and comfortable. You will love the tall ceilings, hardwood floors, stained glass and charming décor.

The house is in the heart of downtown, yet tucked away so that you have your own private secluded retreat. Sit on the front porch to watch the hummingbirds and other local wildlife. The front porch is off the master bedroom and living room. There are canopies of mature trees that shade the patios. In the backyard, there is a charcoal BBQ pit for grilling. There is plenty of room for you to store your coolers and tubes outside in one of the side yards. The washer and dryer are in a separate small room adjacent to the garage. Park your compact car in one of the 3 spots behind the garage on Tolle Street. Please park your SUV’s and oversized vehicles along the front of the house on Market Street. This is a City Mandate.

Enter the house through the back landing on the right into the kitchen. There is a programmed digital lock with a unique code for you during your stay. The keyless entry feature maximizes security and provides a convenient way for you and your guests to enter and exit the home without keeping up with keys!

The kitchen is equipped with everything you need - including pots and pans, dishes, utensils, glassware, baking dishes, toaster, blender, microwave, oven and stove.

The living area has a flat screen TV and stereo for your enjoyment. It has a comfortable sofa and 2 chairs for lounging.

The master bedroom has an old-fashioned wrought iron king size bed supplied with luxurious cotton linens and its own flat screen TV.

The guest bedroom has a queen size bed and is also furnished with luxurious cotton linens. You can step from the guest bedroom onto a small landing in the back of the house.

The dining room has a sleeping area to accommodate two guests.

The bathroom has one freestanding sink and an old-fashioned Claw foot tub with a shower.

This home is perfect for a small family with small children or young teenagers, a couples retreat, a girl’s getaway or anyone 55+ who want to enjoy New Braunfels and the surrounding area.

About Deborah Ball

We are both busy, hardworking professionals. We've lived in Houston and San Antonio and spent many weekends tubing on the Comal and Guadalupe Rivers. New Braunfels is one of our favorite Texas destinations.

Deborah Ball purchased this house in 2009

Why Deborah Ball chose New Braunfels

We love the historic charm and character of the house that really makes you feel like you've stepped back in time. We knew it had to be our haus from the first time we walked into it. It is the location, location, location that is awesome! You can walk to the Comal River "Chute", downtown restaurants, shops, bars, and farmer's market. It is also an easy walk to Landa Park and the Wurstfest grounds. You can walk to Schlitterbahn. It's an easy drive to Gruene where you can hear live music, browse the shops, and sample Texas wines. There are lots of year around events like Wurstfest, Comal County Fair, live music, wine fests, etc. It's a hop, skip, and a jump to San Marcus (Best Outlet Mall in the US), San Antonio, and Austin.

What makes this house unique

We have done our best to make the "Little Haus" a peaceful retreat free from the worries of the office and the city. Until recently, we have kept it for our own personal use. We have enjoyed entertaining our friends and family almost every weekend for the past 6 years. Everyone who has ever visited just loves the "Little Haus." We hope that our guests feel the good vibes in our happy little place.

This house was an awesome HQ for our Wurstefest trip. It's a quick walk (about 10 minutes) to the festival grounds. The house itself was very well kept and has a ton of historic charm. There were deer that hung out in front of the house every night which our kids loved. We'll definitely come back to the Little Haus for our next Wurstfest trip

Girls Weekend

  • 5 of 5

Everything was as described. Great location. We were able to walk to breakfast, walk to get our tubes for floating, and walked downtown for the night. Deborah communicated with me via text to make sure we made it in and out safely. We enjoyed our weekend at The Little Haus!

Amazing location and adorable house

  • 5 of 5

6 of us rented this house for a bachelorette party and it was amazing.

The small details in the house made it so cozy and cute, very fitting for the historic district it is in.

The house is within walking distance of shops, stores, bars, restaurants and a tube rental.

There were deer in the front yard and the neighborhood was so quiet.

We cannot wait to go back!!!
