We offer a comfortable and spacious duplex in a clean 19th century building over-looking the streets of Paris. We are situated in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, near the famous Bon Marché.
Our recently renovated apartment is spacious and clean with many windows for sunlight to shine in through-out the day. We are on the 4th floor with an elevator. Our double glazed-windows give off onto a quiet street and onto a lovely little court yard where french artists go to work in the art atelier.
We have a fully equipped Kitchen along with WIFI, Television and all amenities you will require. We also offer fresh linens and towels and our house-keeper comes to clean the apartment once a week.
We are with-in walking distance from many lovely farmers-markets and luxurious fashion stores. We are near many well-know monuments such as the Eiffel Tower, the Notre-dame Cathedral, and the Invalides where Napoleon is buried.
We are a 10 minute walk from the famous Café de Flore and Brasserie Lipp where Hemingway, F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald and Picasso used to spend their evenings.
We offer advice and tips on tours and fun places to go during your trip. We hope to make your Parisian experience as wonderful and memorable as can be!
Very nice new apartment. Close to 2 metros, markets, very accessible.
This was our first visit to Paris and we found the apartment perfectly situated for touring the city. We really came to love the neighborhood and the apartment.
There was easily room for 3 kids and 3 adults; the layout gives everyone a little privacy. The beds are very comfortable and we kept warm.
The kitchen has all the necessary equipment for cooking and there are several good markets close by. The table gets a little crowded with six but it still hosted some memorable meals after long days out and about.
The ease of access to the metro and buses is really great. And we could walk most places too when everyone was up to it. In many ways, we felt like we left Paris whenever we left the neighborhood to visit a popular site. There are so many great shops and restaurants near the apartment.
The kids' aunt is in a wheelchair and the apartment worked pretty well for her. The elevator is small and she had to transfer in and out. You should check dimensions if you rely on the elevator. (Overall, Paris is challenging in a wheelchair; so many people were helpful and kind though.)
If we get the chance to go back to Paris -- and the kids have been asking to since we left-- this apartment would be our first choice. (Actually my first choice would be to stay there without the kids...)
This was our first time renting an apartment for vacation. We wanted to experience Paris in an apartment vs. a hotel and have more space than a hotel in the same arrondissement would provide. The neighborhood is lively during the day and quiet at night.
Everything we needed was within a block: several grocery stores, bakery, wine shops, cafés, post office, two subway stops, butcher, specialty cake shop with macaroons, bookstore, etc. Wonderful neighborhood!!
The apartment was clean and bright and had all the things we needed to cook at home and be comfortable. The full-sized refrigerator and washer/dryer were wonderful. The loft bed and nook on the stairway made the apartment especially unique for children. We could see the dome of Les Invalides from the top window. We were able to get to all the major landmarks quickly and easily.
We would likely stay here again when we return to Paris.
This flat is well-situated for exploring Paris. Duroc Metro station is nearby, many grocery stores are within walking distance, plus some well-reviewed restaurants (Restaurant Joséphine Chez Dumonet). The apartment is stocked with all you need to cook in, too. The AC was appreciated during the warm August afternoons, the beds comfortable, the decor pleasant. Owner Charlotte was a joy to work with, both via email and phone. Highly recommend, and we look forward to returning one day.
We arrived at the apt. around 3p.m., which has an small elevator for two people, or you can walk up the winding staircase. We were not met by anyone, but the gentleman downstairs helped us, then Charlotte's father showed up, putting in new light bulbs. Tiffany, an assistant, came some later and I showed her that the bed chesterfield was covered in hair, and had not been cleaned or vacuumed. The clothes washer/drier was running and we eventually took the wet clothes out and placed them around the room to dry, since there was a burning smell. I think it was overloaded. Since we couldn't figure out the washer/drier, we had to go to the laundromat, which is close by. In the week we were there, we asked to have the safe fixed or new key, which we never got, toaster didn't work and not replaced. Television went out 3 three times, fixed once. One night, Tiffany said she would come over to fix the tv, but that was close to 9 p.m. at which time, we were headed to bed, after a tiring day.
We enjoyed the apt. and where it was located, but I feel all the things that should have been fixed in a short time, were not fixed at all. Nice restaurants, and grocery stores close by.
