About Carolyn Henderson
This house is owned by my mother, Carolyn Henderson, and ever since the passing of my father in 2008, I have been helping her maintain, rent, and enjoy (as much as we can) this wonderful house on Lake Lure. This lake house was absolutely my father's dream.......the view, the neighbors, the tranquility, and most of all the pleasure and excitement he saw in each of his seven grandchildren when they came to the lake for a visit. Priceless!
Carolyn Henderson purchased this House in 1999
What makes this House unique

Nice house, great view
thanks for letting us stay at your place, beautiful views.
Great house with fabulous view
Love Lake Lure and surrounding area. So relaxing to sit on the deck and enjoy the scenery. Peaceful and quiet.
Fantastic location right on the Lake!
We had a great time staying in this Lake Lure home! The multilevel decks were perfect for relaxing, dining, and enjoying the gorgeous views! The beach area was so nice and convenient. We spent most of our time floating in the water! The canoe and kayaks were great for exploring the lake. There was also some other floats that were nice to have for relaxing. We fell in love with Lake Lure and this home was a great way to enjoy it all!
Great last minute get away!
The house sits right on the lake and has ample room for a big family. Enjoyed the few days there for sure!
Amazing Vacation Location
We stayed in this house in mid-August. The location is great: it is tucked back into a cove and located on a small dead-end road. Although there were several houses around us, we hardly saw any other neighbors the entire time we were there. It was so quiet and peaceful, especially at night. Parking is limited, but it wasn't an issue for us. It was the perfect place to stay with our dog. She was able to play on the sandy beach every day and even enjoyed canoing and kayaking with us too. The house has two bedrooms on the top floor and two bedrooms on the lowest floor. It was perfect for my husband and me to have space away from my parents. The only downside of the house is the kitchen: it is very small but it is functional, and we were able to cook all of our meals there. If you are considering this house BOOK IT!!! We are looking forward to returning next year and staying at this same location.
Lovely Lakefront Home
We had a great stay at this house on a hot September weekend. The house was lovely; plenty of space to spread out both inside and outside, casual and relaxing, easy cooking and grilling. We spent much of our time in the water. We swam, canoed, ate outside, and even taught our pup to swim. There are lots of stairs down to the water, but when you get there, the small sandy beach, the canoe and floating dock are irresistible.
