SunShine Village is an updated unit and is an ideal choice for your Mammoth vacation any time of the year. The convenient free shuttle runs just outside along Meridian Blvd. In winter, the ski shuttle will whisk you to chairs 15, 24, and Canyon Lodge. With shuttle connections, you can reach the Main Lodge as well. In summer the shuttle connects to The Town Trolley and can even take you out to the skateboard park. Sunshine Village is situated adjacent to the Sierra Star Golf course. It is within walking distance of Vons (with a Starbucks and pharmacy adjacent), restaurants and shops.
Amenities of this condo include local and domestic long distance telephone service with voice mail, an entertainment system complete with DVR, DVD player, 5 disc CD player, external speakers and a 47" flat screen TV. There are 32" flat screen TVs and DVD players in the master bedroom and loft, as well as wireless cable internet (private and security coded) just for this unit alone -bring your laptop or tablet computer. You will have the use of an assortment of 200 DVDs as well as games (poker set, cards, chess, checkers, cribbage board). While youre out enjoying all Mammoth Lakes has to offer, no need to miss your favorite TV show, schedule it to record and watch it later on the DVR.
The master bedroom has one queen bed with a thick pillow-top mattress which is topped by a warm fleece-covered comforter. Nothing beats a good nights sleep and that begins with a quality mattress. The loft has a queen bed plus twin bunk beds which have new, thicker mattresses (not the skimpy, thin mattress usually found on bunk beds.) Additional blankets are provided for those chilly winter nights. An extra bonus is the second bathroom on the loft level; now the occupants of the loft dont have to traipse downstairs to shower or use the facilities.
The main living area features two recliners and a matching sofa. The remote-controlled ceiling fan will cool you in warm weather and prevent the loft from overheating in the colder months while the wood-burning fireplace with its custom fan system will keep you warm and cozy. Firewood provided!
The large dining table seats 6 in comfort with a view of the tennis court. Your children or guests can play tennis while you watch from above. Prepare your own meals with the ease of home in the well-stocked kitchen. We enjoy cooking and sharing meals with friends and the kitchen reflects this passion. The kitchen features a microwave oven, Mr. Coffee coffee maker, Keurig Coffee maker (bring your favorite K-cups), toaster oven, blender/food processor, electric hand mixer, an on-the-sink water purifier (Mammoth water tastes better than ever without the chlorine taste) and an assortment of pots, pans, and gadgets.
Our outdoor locking closet provides safe convenient storage for skis, snowboards, and fishing gear or even muddy boots.
The complex has a Jacuzzi, sauna, a game room (with a pool table and a ping-pong table) and a laundry room available year-round, plus in summer a swimming pool, tennis court and barbecues with picnic tables.
Please note due to fire hazard, NO BARBECUES of any type are permitted on the balcony.
Located on the second level there are eighteen outside stairs to reach the main living area and the loft is on an additional level.
Parking just steps away from the stairs.
Each unit is allotted two parking spaces.
SunShine Village is less than 2 miles away from the Village, and about a mile away from the Eagle Express. You cant go wrong with this unit!
We, the owners, began vacationing in the Sierras many decades ago. first by camping and backpacking and later with a trailer. Over the years we dreamed of someday owning our own condo or cabin, and this is it! We have furnished it to accommodate ourselves plus visiting friends.
