I stayed in Ruth's place for almost three months with my husband. We are both academics and were in town for research. We found Ruth's place absolutely perfect. First, it was very conveniently located - it sits right on the edge of St Paul, so it is within close distance of most locations in the Twin Cities. It is 2 blocks from the light rail and very close to the highway - so whether or not you are using public transit or driving, it was absolutely east to get around. We also biked regularly, and as a runner, I really really enjoyed running along the Mississippi River, which is .5 miles away. Second, the house itself is very spacious, with lots of light, high ceilings, & nice furnishings. We found it extremely comfortable. Because it was so large (3 bedrooms), we were able to move in and make ourselves feel at home away from home. We were both able to have offices for our work, and still have plenty of room to relax, cook, etc. The place has all of the amenities needed, and if there was something we needed, Ruth made sure to supply it. Ruth is also great. She is very helpful, responds very quickly and effectively to any issues, and is available to offer advice if needed. We took a weekend trip up north to the headwaters of the Mississippi and Ruth provided us with extra camping supplies we didn't have. She is very generous and kind, and works hard to make her home your home. We were very happy with these accommodations and would recommend them with enthusiasm to our family and friends - for long or short stays.
My name is Julien, I come from France, I was in Minneapolis from 15th of June to 25th of August for an internship. I lived in this location and I don't regret. The neighborhood is nice with a lot of activities around (Downtown, Dinkytown) and the possibility to use the bike evrerywhere! The room is spacious, convenient, with all the equipment that I needed. I used to bike to go to the work or Green Line which is very close to the house. Ruth was always around to help me and answer questions, and she adds a very good atmosphere in the house! To summarize, a very good place if you are looking for quiet and nice location.
Hi, I'm Daniela from Brazil and I stayed at here as a visiting scholar from Brazil, I was here for 3 months.
I enjoyed so much here, spacious, clean and beautiful! There was much green and such a leafy neighborhood; all the parks and bike paths nearby, tennis courts, and hiking on the Mississippi river.
This location, perfect. I could walk to the University, it's just blocks from the Mississippi River. The Green line train is just 2 streets away and this train took me everywhere; The U of M, both Mpls and St. Paul downtowns, the airport, the Mall of America and much more. The coop grocery store was the best place to buy food. I walked there often.
As for the furnishings, all were new and so comfortable. There are free bikes available as well as a kayak and a basketball court in the back yard.
Ruth was very helpful, she provided everything I needed and she did it right way. I had such a great time! I recommend it to anyone willing to have a great time in Minneapolis!
My roommate and I stayed here for a travel nursing contract in the summer. The location is great for biking around town with tons of bike trails nearby. The neighborhood is very walkable and great to get out for a run. Downtown is just a short bike or cab ride away. The apartment is cozy and has all the basic needs for a short or long stay. Ruth was awesome and picked up a few items that were missing in the apartment. Prospect park is right in between St Paul and Minneapolis so access to both is pretty easy. I would definitely recommend this place to family or friends coming to Minneapolis!
There are many attractions within walking and driving distance from this historical wonderful location. Lovely restaurants, theaters, cafes, bars, THE MISSISSIPPI river is just blocks away. There are major art museums nearby as well as recreational activities; sailing, tennis, golfing, skiing, sledding, bike paths,
