Lovely house with all you need for a relaxing vacation in a quiet sector of Aruba. Five species of birds permanently visit the patio, tiny hummingbirds seem to own the place. The perfect retreat after a hot day at the beach. You can visit a different beach every day. A short four minute drive takes you to Mangel Halto Beach in Pos Chiquito, ten minutes drive to Baby Beach, a nine minute drive to Nikki Beach, a fifteen minute drive to EagleBeach, one of the most beautiful beaches on earth.
Upon arrival you will find a white house with bright orange awnings and one space garage. A Neem tree offers you a nice cool shadow while getting the luggage inside.
The kitchen is fully equipped with name brand pots, pans and utensils. It has a large electric stove/oven overlooking the Neem tree at the front of the house. It has a microwave, a blender and a coffee maker. Black granite countertop is large enough to sit four on stools. In the kitchen you will find some spices, assorted teas and herbal infusions, some mixed nuts, sodas and beer for that first relaxing drink after the long trip.
Aruba's water is pure, drinkable and very expensive, therefore, no need to buy bottled water, tap water is just fine. A supermarket is just a block away and stays open till eight at night except on sundays. There is a grocery cart to easily bring back the bags.
The dinning table sits four and is adjacent to the living area with a nice view to the patio. The area has DirecTV, Wi-Fi, Air/C, and two mobile phones with local numbers for your convenience.
The Master bedroom has a king size bed with 100% cotton sheets, new pillows and comforter, cable TV, Air/C, view to the back patio and a linen closet with extra blankets, extra towels and colorful beach towels. The bathroom has hot water, hair dryer, handle bar, not wheelchair accesible.
Second room with view to the Neem tree at the front. It has a Queen size bed with 100% cotton sheets, new pillows and comforter. A linen closet has extra sheets, extra blankets and extra towels. Second bathroom has hot water, handle bar, hair dryer. Not wheelchair accesible.
The patio has a lovely white gazebo with dining table and chairs surrounded by a dry garden with varied cacti species. Large and small iguanas roam freely. Mocking birds are all over the place but somewhat lazy to sing.
You will find beach chairs and coolers for you days at the beach. Clothes washer/dryer and laundry detergent provided.
The house has alarm system and roll down metal shutters. Car rent is strongly advised. Sorry, no pets allowed.
I am an artist with Master of Fine Arts from WSU. I live most of the year in the house next door.
LUISA BETANCOURT purchased this house in 2012
We have been vacationing in Aruba since the 70s, we love the island. The local motto is "One Happy Island" and it is true. People are friendly, the birds that visit the house are happy and the plants in the dry garden are flourishing and blooming year round.
This is the perfect house for beach lovers, writers and persons who wish to have a quiet stay.
It is a quiet neighborhood away from the rush of the high rise hotels and downtown. Perfect for reading, writing, or just relaxing on reclining chairs under the lovely white gazebo.
Guests will always have asistance during their stay for what ever they need.
The place was amazing, it's exactly what the pictures look like. And Luisa, the owner was awesome. We were greeted with a fruit basket, bottle of wine, and chocolates. The place was beautifully decorated, very clean, and well maintained. She even had beach chairs, coolers, and beach towels to take to the beach. It's also very easy to get to from the airport, about a 10 minute drive. I would definitely recommend this property to a friend, relative or anybody. I can't wait to go back, I miss it already.
Aruba's main attraction is the miles and miles of beautiful white sand beaches. Visitors can go from one beach to the other. All beaches are government owned, therefore you are free to wonder around and take a dip in any hotel beach you wish. Some hotels rent their chairs and umbrellas to visitors and you can enjoy their restaurants for example Amsterdam Manor Hotel right in front of Eagle Beach, one of the top two beaches in the world.
You can also visit by car or take a tour to Aruba's Arikok National Park. Lots of fun tours on four-wheel motorcycles for the more brave ones.
Aruba is one of the jewelry centers of the Caribbean if you are looking for a special gem or gift.
