Stay in our beautiful home at the foot of Green Mountain National Forest. It is the last house on secluded Porcupine Lane, giving the illusion of being the only house on the mountain--yet you are minutes away from all amenities provided by the idyllic New England town of Wilmington, Vermont. Lots of windows and skylights make this home bright and light. There is a fireplace on the lower floor as well as the main floor, a family room with a ping-pong table and a deck that includes a table that seats six and a gas grill.
The master bedroom on the main floor has a queen size bed. It features sliding glass doors that lead out to a small deck for your morning coffee. The bedroom on the lower floor has a bunk bed with a full size lower bunk and a twin trundle bed underneath. The lower floor family room also has a sofa that pulls out to a full-size bed. One of the bedrooms on the upper floor features a skylight and has two twin beds. The other bedroom on the upper floor is roomy enough to set up a portable crib (not provided). This bedroom currently has a king size bed configuration with two twin beds using a twin doubler. If desired, the beds can be separated into two twins. Full baths are on the main and upper floors.
The open kitchen, dining and living room lend itself to preparing meals while socializing. The house is equipped with wifi, two televisions, 2 DVD players, and a Roku box for streaming.
Included in the rental is access to a family friendly clubhouse. It has an indoor and outdoor pool, hot tub, gym, and an indoor and outdoor children’s play area. There is also access to basketball and tennis courts. Balls and racquets are available to sign out from the clubhouse. The house is close to golfing at The Hermitage, hiking at Haystack Mountain, kayaking on Lake Raponda, and blueberry picking at a local farm. Take a Saturday morning drive to the Brattleboro Farmer’s Market to pick up locally grown fruits and vegetables or stay in town and see all that Wilmington has to offer.
