Overview

About the property

Condo, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-4)

Simplify the logistics of your ski vacation. This Gold rated condo is the CLOSEST RESIDENCE to the two lifts in the Center Village. Why carry your equipment any further than you have to in those clumsy ski boots? Being so close to the lifts makes it easy to take a quick break from the cold and get right back to the fun, fast! Others say they're just steps away from the lifts, Copper One Lodge really is. There is no better location at Copper Mountain Resort.

This One Bedroom is comfortable for a couple and a couple of kids, or another couple on the sofa bed.

We replaced the sofa bed with a sofa/chaise lounge that folds down to make a king sized bed. The sofa cushions are the mattress, so you're not sleeping on a bar with this bed.

This is our home away from home so we leave all condiments and spices for you to use as well as most kitchen amenities, including a slow cooker!

Check out the comments that some of our previous guests have been compelled to write in the traveler reviews section at the bottom of this page. I didn't pay them or offer discounts for their superlatives.

In a gold rated condo you won't find a crowd of college kids playing music into the wee hours of the night. Yes, it does happen, but not in Copper One Lodge. Young partiers rent the older, cheaper, Silver rated condos that have extra floor space for lots of sleeping bags.

All the activities happen just outside Copper One Lodge in the Burning Stone Plaza. Fireworks, Bonfires, Street Performers, Award Ceremonies, Stores, Shops, Equipment Rentals, lift tickets, Restaurants, bars. It's all right here!

Click on the link where it says, 'CLICK HERE - See more Photos & more Information' below the rates section, to see our web-site. There you can see the location of all condos at Copper when you click the word 'map' next to the guest review link on our front page.

If you want to be close to the action and the lifts, this is the place to stay. It's peaceful and quiet in the condo, even during concerts! The sunsets in Colorado are always amazing and you'll have a front row seat on our west-facing balcony.

About Ron Meepos

I'm an active realtor in the state of Colorado so you can be confident I will treat you very well. You may fall in love with Copper and ask me to help you buy your own condo.

The county says it's a ski in ski out condo. Copper One Lodge is situated next to and between the two lifts in the center village. The streets are heated so unless you want to give your skis a quick base sanding, take your skis off and walk the 50 or so steps to your ski locker in the lobby of Copper One Lodge. There are some true ski in ski out condos at Copper, they're over 30 years old. If you like to build a fire with wood, then those condos might be good. If you'd rather flip a switch for the fire, then our condo is what you desire.

We live in Golden and have skied all over Colorado and California. We love Copper for the variety of terrain and the ease of access, it's right off I-70!

Why Ron Meepos chose Northwest

When we looked into buying a condo we only searched in Copper One Lodge. It's the closest condo the lifts in the Center Village. We wanted to walk as little as possible in our ski boots. Copper Mountain is our favorite place to ski. It's easy to find and easy to navigate once you're here. There are no cars in the village.

You can drive up in a blizzard and park your car the heated underground parking garage, load your things on a luggage cart and take the elevator to your retreat.

We typically don't see our car until we are ready to leave. Everything you need is in this quaint European style village with heated streets that are oriented to get full sun during the lunch hour.

There is a grocery store, many restaurants, ice skating and a cookie shop next to the entrance of our building. That could be bad if you're hungry.

Copper Mountain is a family friendly resort that caters to both beginner and advanced skiers. Beginners can ski green runs from near the top of the mountain and enjoy incredible high mountain vistas not seen on beginner slopes at other resorts. Advanced skiers can find steep snow covered bowls above tree-line and it's all easily accessible. There are some giant jumps for the boarders and Woodward allows you to perfect your flips and tricks inside with foam landing pits year round.

Wonderful! So warm and welcoming!

I'm not quite sure what the previous review was talking about - this condo absolutely does NOT feel old at all! As far as I'm concerned - what a gem in Copper Mountain! Everything was perfect.... Beautifully decorated, spotless, and everything you need for a great trip! The owner Ron was a pleasure to work with and I will definitely be staying in this condo on my next stay! Close to everything, coffee, sugar, spices, salt and pepper, paper towels .... Already there! Extremely inviting, beautiful porch - even a grill! I LOVED every moment of our stay. Thank you Ron!

Good time at Copper Mountain!

  • 4 of 5

This condo is great. Centrally located within resort. And very close to slopes. It was easy to pop in for lunch if we wanted to, without losing much ski time. We remarked every day how nice it was to not have to haul ski gear too far. Condo entrance is 50 feet from bottom of slopes (at American Eagle and American Flyer lifts). Hot tub is one floor down. Washer and dryer is on the same floor. We're a family of four (me, wife, two boys ages 15 and 13). Two boys are tall, so fold out sofa/bed in main room was a little cramped for them. But they were so tired by the end of the day that it didn't matter.

WOW!

  • 5 of 5

If you love Copper Mountain and you are looking for a ski in and ski out place, this is where you want to be. There are downstairs lockers for your skis; a smoking hot-hot tub to relax those tired muscles; underground parking for your car so even if there is a blizzard, your car is protected. There is all kinds of shopping right out the door in Center Village and even a small grocery store if you need some last minute items. Ron was very kind and helpful and available if we needed him. The view was not perfect but we were not there for the view from our room. We were there for the view from the top of the mountain which was amazing. It was perfect for my husband and I and maybe 1 or 2 more. If you have a lot of gear, it might be crowded for 4 but for just the two of us, Copper One ranks at the top of our list!.

Great location, amenities, and condo within steps of the lifts

  • 5 of 5

This Copper One condo is a roomy one bedroom condo with all the amenities you need. The owner is VERY responsive and thoughtful. Has a great big deck, and electric barbecue out on the deck so grilling is a breeze. The bathroom is large, and the tub is huge with ample hot water (if you prefer to soak in a hot tub there is access to one as well). Kitchen is well stocked with spices and utensils. Would definitely stay here again. We have been coming to Copper Mountain to ski for over 10 years and have stayed in many different condos, and this experience ranks one of the best overall.

Great location, but......

  • 3 of 5

The location of this property is excellent - close to restaurants, shops, etc., and very convenient to the lifts. The rest of it left a lot to be desired though. When we first arrived, we wasted a lot of time looking for the 'lobby', which we found out is simply a crowded entry way, leading to the ski lockers or elevators. Speaking of the elevators - there are only two and one was not working, which meant extremely long waiting times on a very busy weekend. No one's fault - just an added headache.

The condo itself was not what we expected based on the website. While it was adequate, it is really poorly designed, with an awkward, uncomfortable living and TV viewing area. The room was way too hot the entire time, despite lowering the temperature as far as it could go. After much struggle, we were able to open the windows, but then we could not get them closed! The door leading to the little back area did not lock at all, which needless to say, left us a very uncomfortable. It was clean and provides all the necessities, but looks and feels really old. In the bathroom, there was no option to not have the heated light on, which we were very frustrated about because it was already so hot to begin with.

I think we would have been happier with this property had the price been lower, but we definitely felt like we paid too much for what we were getting. Maybe our expectations were too high, but we ski at resorts all over Colorado every winter, and we this one was just not up to par compared to all others we have rented.

Owner's Response: WOW, my first negative review after 49 positive ones. This person could have called and I would have told her how to lock the patio door. I think the patio is the "little back area" she was referring to. Referring to the patio as "little back area" is so wrong on so many levels. I think it's open and bright. Also, I would have told her that we always open the patio door when we use the fireplace, since it really does heat. The bathroom "heated light" that she referred to is not actually hot, it's the other light over the sink, 3 halogen lights that heat up the bathroom. I just leaving the "heat lamp" on, and the halogen lights off, when we're there, since it's connected to the vent fan and pulls fresh air in through the patio door. Some people just don't think and want to blame other people for their misery. She said "It was clean and provides all the necessities, but looks and feels really old." She's making what most people desire most look and feel bad. I knew it was a mistake to rent to this person as she asked for a discount and when I said we don't do that in the winter, she unfortunately rented it anyway. Probably, because this condo is competitively priced and the location is second to none. She said, "I think we would have been happier with this property had the price been lower, but we definitely felt like we paid too much for what we were getting." I guess if I gave her a discount she wouldn't have any complaints. With all these perceived "problems" not one call or text. I'm not lowering my rate because someone can't figure out how to lock a door or open a window and doesn't have the patience to call and ask a simple question. The newest condo in Copper feels old to this lady. Well, we like it and so do all the guests that have rented it and the ones who return year after year to our condo. Why? Because if they do call I answer the phone and resolve it. Of course, I can't fix the elevator. But I can tell you how to lock the patio door and where the lobby is. Oh, perhaps they open and close windows for you in Vail or Aspen, but not at $250/night. Still, that's where I suggest you go next time. Leave Copper to the people that come to ski, not find fault in every little thing.

Best location in Copper Mountain Ski Resort

  • 4 of 5

We had a great mini-vacation at Copper Mountain renting from Ron. Communication was very good, easy check in and check out, everything was as advertised. It is truly the best location in Center Village, walk out the door to American Eagle and few more steps to American Flyer lift. Condo had all amenities, hd cable in each room, good kitchen; plus heated garage, ski lockers on 1st floor. All ski stores (rental, expert bootfitter, ski gear) in same building. From all the ski condos that I've been in, Copper One has by far the best wi-fi. You could finish your work if you need to. The crepe store next door is to die for. The center village is where you want to be in Copper. Our only comment is that the condo is more appropriate for 2 than for 4. The bedroom is great, but the sofa-bed in the other room is really hard on the back. My suggestion is get a foam mattress on top, then everything would be great. Thank you Ron.
