House in Mystic
This house was a perfect retreat for a group of friends to get together for three nights. The house is wonderful, the beds are super comfortable and the area is picturesque.
5 Elm Place Mystic
Great location. Walkable to town, seaport museum sights of interest. The house is great for families with ONE exception. The downstairs suite needs a bathroom preferably with shower. It's not ideal to have 3 bedrooms share one full bath on the second floor.
Thank you for staying with us and we hope to see you back!
Sorry you missed the other full bath, however just to clarify there are 2 full baths on second floor and a 1/2 bath on first floor.
Great rental for our daughter’s Haley Mansion Wedding
I booked this home almost 2 years before my daughter’s Mystic wedding. Though typically we prefer a home with a water view, for this stay convenience was our main focus as well as the ability to accommodate my daughter’s bridesmaids the night before her big day as well as the ability to host a small family gathering for some out of town family and close friends .
Mark was a pleasure to work with from the start and was very flexible as well as prompt in responding to several questions that came up as we packed up for this 5 night stay.
This lovely home is located at the end of a short cut de sac right off Rt 27 with an absolutely beautiful back yard area that is compact but very functional. A great hammock, a teak dining table with seating for 6 under a pergola with a stunning wisteria vine, a few wicker chairs and loveseat and a fire pit .
We were a family of 6 and a toddler but one night of our stay my daughter’s bridesmaids spent the night. There is plenty of bedding including 2 superb air mattresses along with extra linens.
Just an FYI, there are 4 beds but the 4 th bedroom is part of the lower level open room not an enclosed bedroom. This worked out fine with our group but if you were counting on 4 bedrooms plus the walkout it is something to note.
Bedding and towels are of high quality and the kitchen is well stocked. There is a Keurig , plenty of glasses, coffee cups, silverware and dinnerware.
The layout of the downstairs kitchen/ dining/ living room area is open and great for family gatherings. There is a spare refrigerator in the garage which was perfect for our stay. There is a small parlor that is a nice quiet spot away from the openness if someone needed to work remotely or have a quiet spot,
The front porch with rockers was a favorite spot to sit as was the pergola in early morning.
It is an easy walk into downtown for dinner, a sail or just to watch the drawbridge. This setup worked perfectly for our family and the extra room for one night for the bridesmaids. But it would be equally enjoyable for a girls getaway or even a couple.
I highly recommend this property. From it’s relaxing outdoor space to its open living area and convenience to downtown, it’s an excellent choice for a stay in Mystic.
We were extremely pleased with everything about the property. It was immaculate and beautiful and had everything we needed. the location is perfect. When we plan a trip to the area, we will definitely be back
Everything was perfect
Our son graduated from the Coast Guard Academy. The property was beautiful inside and out. Entertaining was easy for friends, family and cadets. We would highly recommend this property. Owner was friendly. Helpful and assessable to ask questions to. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking. Would recommend for family special event.
