After many visits to the Sunshine Coast I decided it was time to purchase a property. The moment I saw the cottage I new I had to have it. The peaceful setting, the ocean, and the community are just what I was looking for. One day this will be where I want to retire.
The view of the ocean, the sunsets, and to be surrounded by nature are what make The Lily Pad so special.
You have an amazing place. We enjoyed our stay very much. The attention to detail in the set up was great. The venue was well set up at arrival, warmed up, linen had fresh smell and overall very clean and immaculate –
Our family felt very welcomed and yes we enjoyed my mom’s 75th Birthday reunion.
We would definitely like to come back again and would recommend it to our friends.
Thank you & thank you
The location was clean and ready for our stay. Pantry could have a few extra items, or if they were there, at least position them a bit more obviously. Overall it was stress-free and pleasant.
Very cozy cottage. Clean, fully equipped & Beautiful! Would be equally fantastic for a romantic getaway or relaxing solitude.
Owner made all communications and instructions simple & a pleasure to interact with. Hope to return soon!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Lily Pad. The cottage was really cozy, and also spacious, with games, movies and CDs for entertainment. We loved the scrabble! The kitchen was well equipped, with everything we needed for food preparation. The fireplace was great too, especially as it was a cooler October weekend. We also really enjoyed the hot tub.
The area around the cottage was beautiful. We enjoyed a few beaches near by, along with Sechelt and around HalfMoon Bay.
Caroline was very responsive and made the process very easy in accessing the cottage.
We'd definitely return to the Lily Pad!
Thanks for a great stay.
A very cozy and cute home with gorgeous, lush greenery surrounding the entire cottage. A stones throw from the stunning beach where you can bundle up and have beach bonfires and if your lucky, see the glowing phosphorescence light up!~
We (4 adults) booked an extra long weekend at the end of August at the Lily Pad. It was our first stay on the Sunshine Coast and we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. We loved this small cottage. It was approximately a 10-15 minute drive north of Sechelt to the cottage located in the little community called Tuwanek. There was a small beach located about a 10 minute walk south of the cottage and another small rocky beach about a 5 minute walk north of the cottage.
The cottage itself had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. It was quiet, very clean, and nicely furnished. The kitchen was well equipped and included a great bbq on the deck for grilling. The deck was a nice size and also included a table and chairs and was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the surrounding nature. In addition to the full bathroom located upstairs, it was handy having a half bath on the main floor which included a washer and dryer, a nice feature for longer stays. The beds were super comfortable. Our only comment was that with the warmer weather, the smaller bedroom stayed quite warm throughout the night despite using the supplied fans. OH...I almost forgot about the hot tub which was a real treat to use each evening!
On our first day, we rented kayaks from Pedals & Paddles and spent an amazing 2 hours paddling around the inlet. On Saturday, we headed into Sechelt and enjoyed the Saturday Farmer's Market where we purchased delicious bread and pakoras before wandering around town. We also went for a 1.5 hour walk through Hidden Grove (between Sechelt & Tuwanek). It was an absolutely enjoyable walk through old growth majestic trees and a spectacular view overlooking the inlet towards Vancouver and beyond. The trails were well marked and well maintained.
I would highly recommend this cottage and would love to return for another stay, maybe in the winter to experience it during a quieter season.
We had a wonderful time at the Lilypad cottage . Walked down to the beach which was really nice. I would recommend Lilypad to my friends very cozy and comfortable and close to everything. Will be back one day .
