Feels Like Home

  • 5 of 5

Very comfortable space for families and friends to enjoy mountain living. The proximity to Jackson Hole ski resort is a plus but we also discovered a few skin tracks on the neighboring hills. Perfect location for the adventurous type.

Peaceful

  • 4 of 5

The area surrounding the home was Beautiful. It was close to the Jackson Hole Resort, idea for couple wanting to go snow skiing, hiking ect. affordable and clean. The interior was spacious for our 2 couples. We was able to see wildlife on a daily bases in the the back yard. There was one issue on the BBQ grill which the owner resolved, she was good to her word. Had a very good time.

A Great Gateway to The Tetons & Yellowstone

  • 4 of 5

We found the house to be a perfect place for our first 3 days in the Teton/Yellowstone region. We enjoyed all the house's amenities, especially the hot tub, sound system and new electric grill (just cook your steaks a bit longer than on gas and they turn out fantastic). All the minor problems previous guests experienced had been taken care of and the house was in excellent condition when we arrived.

The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms very clean. We had all the towels and toiletries we needed and the small washer/dryer set came in handy when we got ready to leave for the rest of our trip. The location is quiet, but in 15 minutes you can be in the hustle and bustle of Jackson, or 10 minutes to Teton Village. We thoroughly enjoyed out stay. Thank you Sarah!

Comfortable home

  • 4 of 5

The house is well spaced with no close neighbors; set back from the main road and very quiet.

The furniture is sturdy and attractive. I liked the pictures. Bathrooms...excellent. Kitchen...all modern appliances.

A perfect location to visit the Teton trails and lakes, and also close to Jackson for a trip to town.

Needs attention

  • 2 of 5

Upon arriving at the property, we found that the rug in the living room was stained badly

The owner did have it cleaned when we complained but we feel that this should have been taken care of before we arrived.. The heat will not shut off in the living room. You need to turn off the breakers in the garage. This was also a complaint by a previous renter, since you can see that this issue was not attended to .Also there is a broken wheel in the Dishwasher which makes it difficult to push the rack into the washer when loaded also a complaint by a previous owner.

The screen door from the living room was not able to be closed properly as it was dented.

We found a fry pan still caked with dried eggs

In the cabinets. Also the utensils for the grill were also dirty and caked with residue . It makes you wonder what kind of clean up is done between renters. There was no lighter to light the grill. And of course, the grill was dirty. There was only a very little dish soap left to do dishes. There were only 4 teaspoons. When we complained about the dirty rug, the owner stated that she can't afford to clean the rugs every time between renters and that she has the rugs done every

4 weeks. I was told by the cleaning company that they weren't there since December. Maybe she had another company come in since December. Maybe.... I feel that if she walked through the house after it is supposedly cleaned that she would notice the rug right away as we did.

Obviously she doesn't do that but should.

I feel she could have a 5 star unit if she paid more attention to the place and fixed what needed to be done. I am comparing this unit to one we rented in West Yellowstone and that unit was far superior to this one and cheaper.

Owner's Response: I am truly sorry you found your stay affected by a carpet stain. I do walk through the house before every guest arrives and I do have the carpet cleaned every four weeks, which is typically sufficient. The house is thoroughly cleaned after every stay, but to have the carpet shampooed after every guest is totally unreasonable. I would also have to pass some of that coast on to the renter. Typically, the turn over time is 4 hours, which is not enough time to have a full carpet shampoo with clean and drying time. A couple of stains, does not a dirty house make. I did have the thermostat replaced after the last guest brought the heat problem to my attention, but we found out the main problem was the breaker needed to be replaced and have since taken care of that as well. Home ownership is constant upkeep and I do my very best to attend to problems as they arise, but I understand if the problem occurs during your stay, it can be upsetting. However, I attended to your requests and had all issues taken care of during your stay. Thank you for letting me know I need more teaspoons. I appreciate you stating the house is a 5 star rental, as I do take pride in caring for this home in our beautiful setting.
