The cottage enjoys a peaceful setting overlooking a picturesque lake with rural views both back and front. It is ideally located for a relaxing holiday and as a great base to explore the Norfolk Broads, countryside, seaside towns and beaches.
You will find plenty of wildlife to enjoy around the lake behind the cottage. Children should be supervised at all times whilst around the lake area. A short stroll from the cottage is a traditional local pub and access to Weavers Way (a dismantled national railway footpath).
Sandy beaches like Sea Palling and Mundesley are a short drive away which are great for families and walks. The nearby town of Stalham has all the essential amenities like newsagents, local shops, banks, chemist, takeaways, pubs, and a Tesco with petrol garage.
Other popular villages and towns like Horning, Wroxham (for the Broads, boat trips and day boat hire), North Walsham, Cromer and Great Yarmouth, are within easy reach. Norwich is a great place for shopping and sightseeing, with park and ride available. There are several National Trust properties within easy reach.
The traditional style cottage has two bedrooms and sleeps 4. The ground floor is open plan with a comfortable lounge, TV, DVD, video and stereo (a library of videos, CDs and books are provided), dining table, a well equipped kitchen with cooker, microwave, fridge freezer. Sliding patio doors from the lounge open onto a south facing private patio area overlooking the lake. The first floor has two bedrooms; one double with views overlooking the lake to the rear, and one twin with countryside views to the front, both have a built-in wardrobe and drawers. Bathroom with a shower over the bath. There are two car parking spaces directly opposite the front of the cottage in a communal gravelled area. Bed linen, bathroom towels, tea towels, electric and heating are included.
A shared utility room with coin operated washing machine and tumble dryer can be accessed at the end of the cottage block.
