The beach is where its at..... 145ft of clean sandy shoreline. There's room for the whole family in the 4 bedroom , 2 bathroom beach house that sleeps 8, located just steps from the dock and beach. Enjoy dining on the waterfront deck. This property has no shortage of parking for vehicles, boat trailers and an RV.

Inside the beach house you can enjoy your meals in the cool comfort of the air conditioned living area or bring it outside to the waterfront deck. The front patio includes a BBQ and fire pit right next to the beach.

Use the Cabana to hide form the sun and read your favorite novel. or sleep the night here and count the stars.

The Beach House offers a large lawn with room for badminton or Bocce ball.

Take in the vibrant show of flowers and the wonderful vegetation that surrounds this property.

About Tim Thompson

We have resided on the property now for 12 years, raised our two children and have decided to allow others to enjoy our piece of paradise. We started renting this year and are excited to have folks bring the family and enjoy our area. I am fortunate to be able to fly around the Shuswap in my Ultra light Aircraft and take lots of pictures. I can tell you as a pilot with 1000 hours of flying around this lake that this area is my favorite.

Just a mile away from Shuswap Lake Estates Golf course 18 holes, complete with club house and bar. Talking Rock Golf course is about 20 minutes

west on the Trans Canada. Local hiking trails abound with endless opportunities to exercise.

Some of the benefits of renting this home is the use of two Kayaks, hydro bike, out door sun room with huge lounger and right across the road is extra parking for your boat trailer. Climb the property in the back and just relax and view the Bay.

Great Location, Beautiful Home but beach a little weedy. Absolutely Gorgeous Sunset Views!!!!

We stayed for 2 wks August 13-27, 2016. Overall, this was a very nice place to stay. The kitchen was stocked with every imaginable gadget and appliance (better than my own!) as was spacious and well-laid out, which made cooking enjoyable! Nice open layout had lots of space for 2 families. We appreciated having the washer and dryer on site (basement). Owner supplied things such as paper towel, toilet paper, towels which was nice (I had friends staying elsewhere on the lake that had to supply their own, which adds to the packing and expense!). We loved the grocery/gas/liquor store down the street; it was a great store, had everything you could need with good selection and reasonable prices. Best part was that it was 400m away, so didn't have to waste holiday time driving in to Salmon Arm!! The road was busy, but we didn't notice it much, only had to cross to take out the garbage, spent all our time in the back yard. There was ample parking for a few vehicles and boat trailer, and Tim was even kind enough to allow us to park a motorhome (for a very reasonable extra fee) for some friends who were able to come last minute!! Much appreciated!! Our only complaints were that the beach had a lot of milfoil and as a result ducks; likely because of proximity to Finz marina next door, as well as the fact that the lake was low this time of year. We have young kids and "142 ft of clean sandy beach front" was the main reason we chose the listing, so was disappointing as we envisioned kids playing in the water/jumping off the dock while we sat at the beach- we had to pack them up in the boat every time they wanted to swim. Tim was good to deal with, but I thought maybe a bit uncomfortable yet with the idea of renting his home as we was around ALOT, particularly after our friends arrived the 2nd week; watering plants, once we even saw him from the lake looking in the patio window. He lives on property directly across street, so if you want privacy may not be the ideal. I have rented VRBO several times before on winter holidays and never seen the owner after check-in. Ironically he wasn't there at all for checkin, we were simply told by his family who coincidentally happened to be walking by (and park their boat the shared dock as does Tim) to go in, with a text from the owner a few hours later, kind of strange. A printout with expectations and helpful tips (boat dock, store, garbage, using A/C etc) would be helpful if he can't be there to do a walk thru.

Owner's Response: I am sorry I was not able to be present on arrival to go through the property with you. This is not the norm for me, but something came up that needed my immediate attention. You were my first two week rental in the 2 years I've shared this property as a rental unit. This property requires considerable upkeep and yard maintenance is a big priority in the hotter months. I do try to be quick in watering and try to respect the privacy of my guests, but it needs to be done weekly. I've never experienced a request to add an RV to a reservation so this took me a bit by surprise, but I am glad I could accommodate you. The lake did get rather low this year so milfoil became an unexpected issue, but that was out of my control. The dock is shared, (my boat) so I appreciate your input and will try to make that clearer in the future. i am glad you and your family and friends enjoyed the property and hope to see you again in the future!

Family Vacation

The house was spacious and well stocked, and the location was nice and central for exploring the Shushwap. The huge yard was big enough for soccer games, the fire pit area was cozy and the driveway could fit lots of vehicles.

We loved eating on the deck and watching the beautiful sunsets. A great grocery store was minutes away with lots of quality options. We tried Finz next for dinner one night, busy but great food. Tim was available and easy to contact. Adults and kids used the three kayaks available for use and the floating bicycle was a big hit! The yurt was handy when extra guests stopped by.

The only unfortunate thing was that the lake was so low due to the summer's heat that swimming was tricky due to the shallowness and weeds.

Family Relaxation

Our vacation was exactly as we had planned. We relaxed the entire week leaving only a few times to grab groceries close by, an excursion to a nearby waterfall and a couple wineries. The house is a great size and had everything needed. The kids spent the majority of their day playing on the beach and jumping in the water. Tim even has a Kayak for the kids! I definitely recommend this property for a relaxing family getaway!

Fishing trip

Had a great week. Loved being in middle of Blind Bay, near to everything. Great being on the Lake with own dock.

Restaurant right next door for those that hate cooking. Owner was great and very easy to deal with. Loved the kayaks that were available for us. House was great and wanted for nothing
