About Joe Schneider
We are from Colorado. We were searching for ways to spend time outside and found this property. The property is 10 minutes from Lake Texoma. We love the seclusion but proximity to the lake!
Joe Schneider purchased this House in 2015
Why Joe Schneider chose Kingston
This property is truly a country retreat. I love to see hummingbirds from the deck. We have a special needs child and he absolutely loves getting outside. The Man Cave is a terrific set up to relax in the shade. The fire pit is huge, and set up to accommodate family and friends. This is not so much a "lake house" alone, but is more of a country place close to the lake!
What makes this House unique
You'll be hard pressed to find a property that has this balance of new amenities, (built in 1995, remodeled in 2011), combined with such a serene environment. The 10 acres are secluded which is very unique near Texoma where places by the water are close to each other. That is the value of being 10 minutes away from the marina. The home is surrounded by mature trees. The wrap around porch has seats all the way around to sit and relax. The kitchen is set up for us to spend time there during the week, and is fully functional.

Perfect place for a getaway
Some friends and I booked this place for Friday to a Sunday for a weekend getaway of old high school and college friends. This place was awesome! The kitchen is fully equipped with every utinesil and kitchen ware we needed. The man cave area in the other building is awesome. We played cards, darts, pool, air hockey, dominos, etc.. We sat around the campfire, which was perfect for our 30*F evenings. There was plenty of firewood provided. Cell reception was bad and WiFi is on the slower side, but we went there to escape that anyways. I cannot say enough good things about this place. The owner has a nice folder guide that answers any questions you may have and tells you how to work everything. The owners take amazing pride in the ownership and the satisfaction of their guests. We texted Joe a couple times with questions and got an immediate response every time. We will be booking again!
This place was really nice. We had a great time. The house was beautiful and beds were very comfortable. The garage was amazing!!! There is a bar, TV, sound system, pool table, air hockey, basketball game, etc... The only down side is there was absolutely no phone signal, but they have free wifi so you just have to send messages or make calls through wifi apps like Facebook messenger or duo or FaceTime... Or whatever. Great Time!!!
This house had absolutely everything we could have wanted. It is beautifully decorated and comfortable to boot! The beds were so comfortable that we slept longer than expected. We especially liked the quiet and solitude of the property. The garage/shed was a great addition to the house. We didn’t play air hockey, but we threw a few basketballs and shot a little pool. Not bad for a bunch of old ladies!
Way beyond highest expectations
We had a great time during our two night stay here. The three-bedroom house was plenty spacious for 3 adults and 2 kids. It was upscale and spotless. The garage leaves one awestruck. I have no doubt our children could have stayed inside there the entire weekend without getting bored. Their favorites were air hockey, basketball, cornhole and pretending to be bartenders.
The exterior is just as impressive, with an enormous fire pit, smoker, propane grill and covered sitting/eating area, as well as a 360 degree porch on the house and horseshoe pit. There are probably 3+ acres of well kept, landscaped area outside the home, and many, many more for an adventurous bushwhacker.
This is a place I could see our family making an annual pilgrimage to. Thanks to the owners for sharing their treasure with us.
This is the 2nd time we’ve stayed at 60 Miles North, and it never fails to impress. The property is in tip-top shape and location is great for reaching different parts of the lake. Joe pretty much keeps everything you will need right there in the house or shop. We will definitely be coming back.
