Location, location, location
We absolutely loved everything about our stay in Anchorage, and this home was the perfect base for everything we wanted to do. First, let me say that the home is beautiful! It was clean, well stocked, and had great beds with comfy pillows and bedding. The heater worked great which was key in 0 degree weather, and the hosts Tom and Vicki were wonderful. One of the best things for sure is the location. The home feels like your in the middle of the woods, which you kind of are, but you are also close to everything you need in the city. The views from the house were breath-taking, and we were actually able to see the Northern Lights from the backyard! We were able to easily get to Girdwood for Skiing and snow-mobiling, and up to Palmer for a sleigh ride. We will definitely be back soon to enjoy a summer vacation, and couldn't imagine staying anywhere else! Thanks for everything!
Stunning, beautiful, great location with wonderful view. Gorgeous secluded home with posh amenities.
Well worth the money. The owner went out of her way to accommodate our very late arrival and make everything comfortable. Great base from which to explore the surrounding areas, from Seward to Talkeepna. We couldn't have been happier staying at this home.
Great place to stay. Owner was helpful and even came over the first night to fix TV remote. Couldn't have asked for a better location. Convenient, spectacular surroundings,, gracious owner... Can't ask for more!
We stayed here very comfortably for six days. For five adults this house was very spacious with plenty of sitting areas; both outdoor and inside.
We barbequed every night, and enjoyed the great views. The highlight of our trip was a mother moose with her twin babes that came to spend
the evening with us. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a place to stay.
This is such a lovely house in the woods. Vicki recommended going to Flat Rock Mountain which turned out to be one of our favorite hikes. Only one of us made it to the top, but the views were worth the hike. This is a great place to stay in Anchorage.
Our extended family enjoyed our stay very much. The property worked well and was a great location. During our week we were able to make several side trips and the proximity to downtown Anchorage was quick. Hoping for a return trip and would definitely book again.
The home is located in one of the best areas in Anchroage. The home sits on 1.25 acres and is only 11 miles to downtown with even a closer proximity to Flat Top, Potters Marsh, Kincaid Park, Golfing, and the Zoo. Only a short 45 minute drive to Girdwood and Portage Glacier. Day trips can include Palmer, Wasilla and Seward.
