About Debra Guluzzo
My family has been on this street for over 75 years. Beginning in the 1940"s, my grandparents purchased a small beach cabin to escape the summer heat of San Jose. Three generations enjoyed the beauty of this area and shared good times with family and friends .Loving it so much , my parents bought a lot next door to the cabin in the 1980's and built a home which we are now offering for rent.

Great location in well-equipped house
Owner Deb is a great host of this spacious home. Whole house is well-equipped—everything you need to prep meals, go to the beach, etc. Great views from living room. We will return!!!!
GREAT OCEAN VIEWS & CONVENIENT LOCATION
This home is comfortable, clean and well appointed. The wifi was fast (important to kids with iPads) and the beach is very close. Two excellent restaurants are a very short walk away and the host is very helpful, providing beach toys, chairs, and towels. We'll be back.
A very comfortable home
We had a lovely stay at this very comfortable rental. We enjoyed the view of the ocean from the deck, and at the dining table when it was too cool to sit outside, and liked that it was close to central Santa Cruz. The beds were very comfortable, likewise for the couch and chairs in the living room area. The kitchen was well equipped. The owner, Deb, who lives next door, was very pleasant to deal with. We would consider returning to this rental in the future.

Thanksgiving In A Property For Which We Were Thankful
We spend Thanksgiving in Santa Cruz so that our Grandson, a student at UC-SC, would not have to travel to SoCal, his home when not at school, with so few vacation days at his disposal. Our daughter, his Mother, also accompanies us. The space in this property was amazingly good for the four of us; the addition of another daughter and her husband for Friday night did not affect that assessment. Debra saw to it that a large platter, a new purchase, was ready for the turkey and stuffing. She also provided a large roasting pan and rack so that I was able to work my annual turkey magic of turning an oversized, land-locked bird into a soaring success. Debra provided an electric knife for the carving responsibilities entrusted to our Grandson. We enjoyed a long beach walk to shake off at least some of the calories from our meal. Expect a squeaky clean property as we do, you will not be disappointed. The balcony with a wonderful view of boats coming and going from the harbor was a treat as was the view of one of Santa Cruz' several lighthouses. What a surprise to be greeted by a very large female sea otter on one of our frequent walks!
I consider this to the be an ideal setting for our family to gather for a time of reflection on those things for which we are thankful. My wife said, "When can we book for next year?" I know that she added an extra consideration, our time at this property, to her list of those things for which she was thankful.

House by the beach
The view from the living room and kitchen is fantastic, and you can't beat the location. Debra and John, the owners, are super friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.
Just 3 doors from Twin Lakes Beach- our three story beach house provides all that's needed for a great get-away .Spectacular views of the beach and bay. Steps from the sand as well as the Santa Cruz Yacht Harbor which offers not only day time activities such as stand up paddling, whale watching, sunset cruises on the Chardonnay and rides in the harbor on the free water taxi, but also has an eclectic variety of restaurants to discover. Within walking distance is the Crow's Nest Restaurant, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily and great Happy Hour deals. Also is Cafe El Palomar, featuring local Mexican cuisine, as well as Aldo's and the Harbor Cafe, both with excellent breakfast and brunch menus. Also,the family friendly Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is within walking distance or 10 minutes by car. An hour's drive to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and the quaint town of Carmel.
