Creekside is a woodland retreat nestled into a native botanical paradise.

  • 5 of 5

In my two week rental time at Creekside, I first enjoyed a couple friends and a quiet retreat, followed by the arrival of grandchildren with a couple parents. With both groups, the space amply accommodated us and the well stocked kitchen was more than adequate. The new grill on the porch was terrific for a large crowd and one can grill while folks visit on the huge wrap-around porch by the babbling brook. The grounds surrounding the cabin were woodland magic, as the Rhododendrons opened up during our time; the woods just beyond gave us a wonderful campfire for two nights of s’more. It’s a marvelous getaway for little and/or large groups.

It is noteworthy to say that, as people who love nature and hiking adventure, the cabin is conveniently situated to many mountain experiences; such as Crabtree Falls, Lin Linville Falls and Cavern, tubing down the Toe, mining at Emerald Village, and the Virginia Creeper Trail to name only a few. I will have to consider it again as my retreat destination. We couldn’t have been more pleased.

Thank you, Campbell family, for sharing your home - away from home.

Cleaning fee steep.....and you are expected to clean!!!

  • 3 of 5

Did enjoy the stay-The house was nice, surrounding property lovely, and the rushing creek soothing. However, I have a BIG issue with the cleaning fee. I found it insulting that we were expected to wash towels and clean the tub. There were also dead bugs littering the floors when we got there. While this may seem trivial, I believe if you're charged well over $100, you should not have to clean! Unfortunately this left a bad taste for an otherwise enjoyable wknd. This has bothered me since our visit & given the opportunity, decided to vent.

Love this place, our second time and always a charm.

  • 5 of 5

Great place to stay if you want to hike, go on excursions, visit vinards or nearby Ashville. We took a two day trip to Gattlingburg from the cabin and or was a very beautiful and scenic drive. The cabin is always well maintained and I personally like the hot water on demand following a full day of hiking. You can't go wrong here, many unbelievable memories have been forged during our stay. From breath taking views to peaceful serenity.

The property is parklike. The house is lovely.

  • 3 of 5

We loved the property, which has a stream and a creek and resembles a park. My mom has cancer and loved being able to relax to the sound of the water. The house is very nice and we enjoyed the decor. However, there is a moisture issue and our sinuses were affected after a couple of days. The neighbor's dog is a sweetheart.

Cozy Cabin in the Woods

  • 5 of 5

This was a great setting for just relaxing with the family after the hustle and bustle of the season and the year. We had a wonderful time exploring the Blue Ridge Parkway and the towns in the area (Burnsville, Micaville and Spruce Pine). The cabin had everything we needed and was very warm and cozy even with freezing temperatures and howling winds outside. We especially loved the creek - quite the perfect mountain stream.
