About Michelle Morrison

We love the outdoors and wish we could live here but our jobs prevent us from moving.

Michelle Morrison purchased this house in 2011

Why Michelle Morrison chose Pennsylvania

Both my husband and I grew up in this area. We work 100 miles from the Cabin Escape. We enjoy returning to the many activities we grew up loving. Snowmobiling, Boating, Skiing, Penn State Games, Clearfield County Fair, Parker Dam State Park, Bilger's Rocks and of course friends and family keep us coming back as much as we can.

What makes this house unique

Our Pond was a joy to create. The Playset keeps the kids entertained for hours. On a warm day a Zip Line can be entertainment for everyone under 150lbs. The ATV Trails seem endless from destinations to local restaurants or site seeing the wildlife. The wintertime Snowmobling is some of the best in PA. Large Private yard that the kids can ride small four wheelers. A flat space for an Optional Bounce House to enjoy on a summer day. Last but not least a warm cup of coffee or hot cocoa on the front porch helps begin or end any day.

Made my new year awesome

One can't imagine such a beautiful, well-maintained and fun place in this wilderness. It was a pleasure staying here. The area around the property is so calm and beautiful, kids had fun in the snow. In just 20 minutes we had the town area for all supplies. Thanks Michelle for being such a wonderful host.

If you want to take a break from hustle bustle of life and spend few days in peace this is the perfect place for you.

Surrounded by nature, roomy, perfect for families.

  • 5 of 5

It's a beautiful cabin, with many amenities, clean and roomy enough for a group. The zip line across the pond was fun. This was perfect for staying put, cooking in, and spending time together as a family. We did have a nice afternoon hike, trails are very close by. We celebrated my daughters 30th birthday here. Michelle is very gracious, thank you for a memorable weekend.

Our Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at this location! It was exactly what we needed for our family vacation. The kids did not want to leave and neither did we! The house was spacious and clean. There were many places to go for a walk, the zip line at the pond was fun, a deer appeared in the yard one evening, we saw a rattle snake on our walk, and Clearfield was in nice driving distance for shopping and dining. We highly recommend this location.

Get back to nature

  • 5 of 5

We liked the description that we saw online for this cabin in the PA Wilds. Rustic yet modern. Secluded yet convenient to nearby locations with plenty to do or just relax. We enjoyed riding our quads on the trails adjacent to the property, seeing wildlife, fishing in the pond and the kids really enjoyed the zip line. We especially appreciated being able to bring our dogs along. They enjoyed the pond too! At night, it was amazing to see all the stars and listen to the frogs "talk" to each other. This cabin easily accommodates families with children, a group of friends or a romantic getaway for two. This was our first stay but it will definitely not be our last. Thank you Michelle and Michael for our wonderful stay.

We personally love sitting by the camp fire in front of the pond in the front of the cabin (there is even a zip line over the pond that holds a max of 150 lbs) or watching the kids play on the swing set towards the rear of the cabin. Also available is a 15 x 15 bounce house for an additional fee. We enjoy fast sports such as boating, snowmobiling, atv rides all within minutes of the cabin. Looking for a more relaxing slow pace day take a hike or walk into the state game lands just down the driveway. The mountain laurel is absolutely spacticular when it is in full bloom. Enjoy wildlife in the yard just about every morning/evening from wild turkey to white tail and more.

When staying in the Clearfield County Area you can find yourself enjoying shopping, golfing, dining, fishing, the Pennsylvania Wilds, backroad drives,, snowmobiling, atv rides, canoeing, kayaking, skiing, boating, cycling, agritourism, CCGT Geotrail and much more. From local events such as the 150th Clearfield County Fair that boasts big names for concerts every year to 5K runs several times throughout the year to Bilgers Rocks, S.B. Elliott State Park, Parker Dam State Park, Curwensville Dam, and the Famous Denny's Beer Barrel Pub Restaurant and the new Buck's Pizza two locations. It wouldn't be a trip to Clearfield without stopping by the Benezette's Elk Country Visitors Center or Grice Community Museum of 70 plus Antique & Classic Cars as well as Bob's Army & Navy with the mind blowing supply of guns and outdoor accessories. Sporting events or concerts at Penn State or the Bryce Jordan center are only an hour drive away.

We have a 15 x 15 bounce house that is great entertainment for the kids. It can be heavy to move and put away, so be prepared for a work out. If requested there is an additional charge for the equipment and usage. There is also a water trampoline same deal very heavy but definitely entertains on hot days, additional charge for it also.
