About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Sleeps 6

The Charming Log Cabin at Al Tahoe is the rustic-modern lodge that you're looking for in a South Shore vacation rental. Inside you'll find a luxurious fireplace, jetted tub, and bikes for guests to explore around the lake.

This well-maintained home is tucked away in a spot conveniently close to Lake Tahoe Boulevard, a major road that gives you access to many South Shore attractions like Heavenly Mountain Resort, bike trails, restaurants, and all the popular Nevada casinos.

In the living room and kitchen area, you'll find woodland-themed couches around the gas fireplace and a DVD-equipped flatscreen TV - a great place for family movie night. If you have an MP3 player, there's a sound dock to stream music over the WiFi. If guests are sharing snacks at the dining table or in the fully stocked kitchen, they'll be able to be a part of the fun in the living room with the open floor plan.

The master bedroom, with a queen-size bed and en suite bathroom with jetted tub, is easily accessed on the main floor. If you have guests needing to avoid stairs, this is a great room for them (there's a ramp at the front entrance of the home, too).

Upstairs is a second bedroom holding a queen bed with a second TV. A third bedroom includes a full bed. For those sleeping upstairs, there's a full bathroom here, too. With a twin-over-double bunk bed, up to six guests will be very comfortable here.

Outside, there's a gas grill, picnic table, volleyball net, and horseshoes for a perfect summer afternoon. Provided in the home are also three adult bikes and one child-size bike, which would be great for riding on the nearby trails to reach Thomas Regan Memorial Beach and Magic Carpet Miniature Golf. There's also a raft.

Just over three miles away is Heavenly Mountain Resort and Heavenly Village for winter skiing, summer hiking, and restaurants, a spa, and shops. And if you are feeling lucky, casinos are also three miles from your door, just across the Nevada state line.

This family cabin is perfect for your next getaway, so book this South Lake Tahoe vacation rental soon!

About Vacasa, CA - Lake Tahoe Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Best place to stay in Tahoe

  • 5 of 5

We went to the cabin for a retreat with 6 teachers!! <br />

It was a dream cabin! Very clean, comfortable furniture and beds. We walked in and opened the first cupboard to a set of china including tea pot! We set up a tea party for breakfast! We left for dinner and came back to the cabin all lit up for Christmas. It was early November, so this was a fun touch to get us in the mood for the holidays. We had plenty of towel for 6 women taking showers both days! We are already planning our return with each of our families!!

Awesome getaway

  • 5 of 5

It was so fun to be so close to everything. We rode the bikes to the lake, to shopping and restaurants. The home was clean and well stocked. The backyard was great. It was nice to sit outside or enjoy the hammocks. Horseshoes were fun as well.

Exceeding Expectations

  • 5 of 5

To truly appreciate the ambiance of Lake Tahoe and the beautiful Sierra mountains one needs to get away from the "casino" mentality and connect with the local environment. This modern yet rustic cabin allowed us to do just that. It provided all the modern amenities that we like, yet provided a setting to truly enjoy the beautiful pines and closeness to the lake one wants. From grilling on the barbeque, to riding bikes among the trees, to floating on the lake, even playing with horse shoes, we found the location and amenities to match everything we had hoped for while visiting Tahoe. We highly recommend this property.
