Our 1000 SF spacious 2BR suite located in the heart of Kitsilano. It is garden level/ 40% under-ground basement with big windows to access daylight.

There is beautiful garden with all kinds of flowers in front of the door, you can enjoy BBQ outdoor in summer.

It takes only 5 mins walk to Jericho beach and bike lane, supermarket, restaurants, bus stop are two blocks away.

Bike rental available within 10 minutes, contact available upon request from the host.

1 queen bed and 1 king bed in each bedroom both with pillow-top mattress.

Fully equipped kitchen to cook like at home.

10 mins drive or ride on a bus to downtown, UBC and sky train station. Very very convenient

Free parking on the street in front of the house.

Baby playpen and toddler booster seat available upon request.

PLEASE BE ADVISED the following conditions before you book the suite:

1.Photos are taken by professional photographer in a sunny morning.

Daylight amount in reality is less than in the photos, especially in rainy day.

2.The ceiling is lower than usual at 6 feet and 10 inches. Please be advised people taller than 6 feet may feel pressure inside the suite. .

3.You will hear footsteps from upstairs

4. You will hear water run through the pipe and heat, boiler sound in the house just like most of the houses. Light sleeper, people looking for extreme quiet and stay in the suite most of your vacation time are not suitable for this unit.

5. Please note seasonal pricing applies, the lowest price may not apply to the period of your booking.

6.No pets, no-smoking, please !

Please take off shoes inside the house, and we make sure the floor is very clean.

This is a quiet neighbourhood, so we can not accommodate a party after 9:00PM.

OK but it was quite cold

It was an OK stay in a nice area, though the basement was cold and the temperature was not adjustable (controlled by a thermostat above).

Owner's Response: Oh, no The temperature is adjustable in your unit. It says in the house rule under the coffee table in the living room that the thermostat is beside your back door.. I am so sorry I can not hear and solve this concern during you stay. Sorry.... Maggie

Photos are deceiving

Maggie's place was very disappointing for us. I have given this place two stars for the reasons that it was clean and there is effort in the place. The furniture is new, the bedding is fantastic and the place is equipped so that you feel you have the basic amenities you need. The location is also fantastic!

The pictures are COMPLETELY deceiving. The 2 days we stayed at this place were dark and rainy in Vancouver, as soon as i walked in i was shocked that this was the place that was in the pictures. It is dark, and the air is very musky, of course because it was raining and damp. It felt very gloomy and depressing. The heating system is old school, and there is one tiny radiator in the living room, so the living room is freezing but the 2 bedrooms are boiling hot- made for a very uncomfortable 2 nights. It was not a place where you felt cozy and wanted to hang out.

Of course on a warm sunny Vancouver day in the summer this place might be okay BUT please if you are going at any other time i will warn you that this place is not what it looks like in the very professionally taken pictures.

Maggie did not come and introduce herself to us even once, i have rented over 20 places on VRBO and AirB and B and usually the owner makes it a point to drop in even for a minute to welcome you. She definitely was available via phone and allowed us to check out an hour later which was helpful.

I personally would not rent this place again, the price and the quality do not match up.

Very clean and exactly as advertised.

Our group of 4 adults stayed in this unit for two nights. The description of the unit is very accurate. We knew exactly what to expect. It was very clean and plenty of room for all 4 of us. The ceilings are low as described and you can hear slight noises of others in the building during the day, no difficulties of noise during the night. In fact it was very quiet. The unit is in a great location, easy access to transit, shopping, dining and parks. The residential neighborhood is quiet, peaceful and picturesque. The unit was well equipped with kitchen supplies, linens and bath towels. Soap and shampoo were also provided in the shower. The laundry was easily accessible with laundry detergent.

We were out enjoying Vancouver during most of the day, so it was not our intention to be in the unit for long stretches of time. We wanted something clean, comfortable and peaceful after being out all day. This is exactly what was provided.

I was also very appreciative of the owners quick response to any questions. This was true from the start of the booking process. We have had experiences in the past where owners are difficult to reach once the booking has been made or you are in the property. This owner was available from start to finish in a very timely way. We hope to stay here again.

Convenient location, but house is old and in need of maintenance

I am thankful to the owners for accommodating us, but also would like to be fair to a future travelers.

So on the plus side:

- Convenient location, close to stores/cafe on 4th

- Close to UBC (~10 minutes by car)

- Clean and reasonably priced for 2br

On the minus

- Low ceiling, I am 5'10 and could nearly touch it in few places

- House is old and really need upgrading, you can see signs of decay outside/roof, termite damage e.t.c

- somewhat dark, humid place

Owner's Response: Hi, Genady Thank you for staying in our suite! I really appreciate the compliment in your review ! And you are right, for basement unit, the ceiling is relatively lower at 7 feet high, and when it meets the constructive polls, it takes more space and makes a few spots even lower. Because this is a heritage house, all external and some of internal upgrade will need permit from Vancouver city to preserve the flavour of our city( weird, but yes, new law in Vancouver ). We have been in the process of upgrading application for months and believe there will be good result next year ( yes, it is so slow for city to approve any application). With house heat on in winter ( sorry the heat was not needed for your stay period because the warm autumn this month) , the minor humid feeling will be improved!
