2 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom Delightful Cabin with Yard, Spa, Dog Run, Walk to River
Up and Away is a tastefull getaway, a true Villa Grande find. Stay in this historic river community and at the same time enjoy the comforts of modern construction and amenities. The Villa Grande community has a gorgeous river beach, great location and a laid-back ambience.
Up and Away has an open floor plan. The kitchen is complete with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. The adjacent living area has a queen sofa bed and the dining area has a dining table for 4 (there is room for 2 to dine at the counter bar). All occupy an open, well-lit room with hardwood floors and high ceilings. A door off the living area opens to a lovely front porch, furnished with a bar height 2-person table and chairs and a double porch seat.
The main living space also features a large Flatscreen TV with Comcast cable and a DVD/Blu-Ray player. At the end of the short hallway is the roomy, bright master bedroom with an attached bathroom. Also off the hallway, but closer to the living area, is the second bedroom with a twin bed and twin trundle bed. The second bedroom, with a small desk and sitting area, does double duty as a pleasant office space. The third door off the hallway opens to the second full bathroom. Both bathrooms have combined tub/showers.
Up and Away has a large, fully fenced yard and patio. The patio, easily accessible through a side gate, is the sunniest spot on the property. An outdoor dining set, gas barbecue and two chaise lounges are set on the patio. It's a great place for cooking and hanging outside. The hot tub, tucked away at the far end of the patio, is surrounded on 3 sides by a privacy screen. The back portion of the yard is shaded and planted with greenery. For the dogs in your family, a dog run with kennels is located on along the northern side of house. The large, sandy, dog-friendly neighborhood beach is a short walk away.

DAMAGE PROTECTION: We offer a $49 damage protection program that replaces the $1000 security deposit and $30 security deposit processing fee. When booking through VRBO/HomeAway, the $1000 Refundable Security Deposit and $30 processing fee will show in your rates. To choose the damage protection, put a note comments section of the reservation and we will adjust the rates before processing payment. If no preference is stated, we will contact you.

Maximum Occupancy and Quiet Hours:
The maximum occupancy at Up And Away is 6. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m. Outdoor amplified sound is prohibited at any time.
There is parking in the driveway for 3 cars. RVs, trailers and campers are prohibited, per the Sonoma County Vacation Rental Ordinance. The garage is not available for parking. Guests have access through the side door to use the washer and dryer

Quiet Villa Grande on a one-lane neighborhood road. Two and a half flat blocks to a dog-friendly neighborhood beach. The side of the property borders Moscow Road, which has some traffic noise.
Office Hours and Booking Information:
Our office is open from 9 am to 5 pm every day, excluding major holidays.
After making a booking and confirming their security deposit vs. damage protection preference, guests will be sent arrival instructions and a contract with our terms in detail to sign and return. You will be contacted within 24 hours of making your reservation.
No same-day reservations past 2 pm. It should not happen, but in case the system is allowing you to book for same-day arrival and it is after 2 pm, please reach out to us. If it is after 5 pm, please do not complete your reservation; no one will be available to process your reservation and prepare for your arrival.

Russian River Vacation Homes is proud to manage Up & Away on behalf of the owners. Russian River Vacation Homes, a part of D&G Equity Management, Inc., is a family owned and locally owned/operated property management company. Our Story: In 1980, D&G founders and owners Michael and Patty saw a need in the area for habitable, affordable housing. At that time, many of the little cabins along the Russian River, originally built as summer cabins, were unsuitable for year-round occupancy. D&G assisted property owners with fixing up and renting their cabins. As the largest property management company in western Sonoma County, D&G Equity Management continues to be a staple in the Russian River community. Russian River Vacation Homes is an off-shoot of D&G. One fine day in 1985, Michael's client, Bob, asked "Hey Mike, can you rent my cabin out just for the week or weekend instead of by the month?" Michael said "Sure!" and Russian River Vacation Homes was born. As renting vacation rentals became more popular, Russian River Vacation Homes grew into a full-time business with its own office. Today, Russian River Vacation Homes professionally manages over 60 high-quality vacation rentals. We strive to make each and every stay the best one ever. Truly felt like a home away from home

Up & Away is a short walk (.1 mile or a couple short blocks) from the Patterson Point Preserve, a beautiful 2 acre bend in the river managed by the Friends of Villa Grande. Guests at Up & Away are welcome to enjoy this dog-friendly space with a large sandy beach, swimming area and fishing hole. Follow the path through redwood and other native trees down to the river and you may see native wildflowers (many are marked for our education and identification), active habitat restoration, and wildlife! This is an ideal spot for birding and you may even see a native mink (nearly hunted to local extinction by the Russians in the 1800's) or otters playing in the river. Patterson Point is a local gem and available to visitors year round. West Sonoma County is also rich in wineries, breweries and food production. Between the once world renowned Gravenstien apple orchards of Sebastopol, local berry farms, meat producers, honey, ice cream, pies, and fresh fish, you can't go wrong when eating "local." This abundance varies with the seasons and can be enjoyed at local farmer's markets (some year round), shops specializing in local produce and goods, and an agriculture community encouraging farm visits (check out farmtrails.org).

When a reservation is received, we process payment and send an email confirmation within 24 hours or less. Confirmed reservations are final. NIGHT MINIMUMS: -Two night minimum October to Memorial Day Weekend (holidays have a higher night minimum) -Three night minimum Memorial Day Weekend through late June, and September -Four night minimum end of June through August, expect week minimum over the July 4th Holiday and the first week of August. -Major holidays including Thanksgiving, Winter Break and President's Day may have a longer night minimum. -All specials exclude holidays and must be mentioned at the time of reservation. NOTE: We use an automated system that integrates the VRBO/HomeAway booking engine with our own reservation software. This is generally a good thing; calendars and rates are more accurate than they ever have been and are becoming more reliable every day. However, this is new technology, and has occasionally malfunctioned. If your reservation seems to go through for less than the stated night minimums, or if the rental rates or availability seem too good to be true, be aware that the system may be experiencing an integration issue and your reservation may not be accepted.
