Reviewer Comments:

The condo was clean and well-stocked with supplies for a couple days. Very good location -only a few blocks off Lake drive. Only complaint is the condo description didn't disclose it was 3 levels.

Reviewer Comments:

Location is great, easy access to skiing, sledding, etc. Main room is cozy, TV and WiFi worked well, dining room table is a good size. The condo was clean, but some upgrades should probably be made at some point. Cookware is old and pots are chipping, and there's an electrical outlet cover in the downstairs hallway that is broken, exposing the inside of the outlet--not good if you have curious kids, like us. Kitchen faucet is a pullout and it's loose, so that should be fixed as well. It was also tough to get the temperature just right for sleeping--one room would be cool, another hot. But we seem to have that problem at pretty much every mountain cabin or condo we've ever rented. Overall I'd come back, though, and I'd recommend this property.

Just what we were looking for...minus a few minor inconveniences

  • 4 of 5

All in all, we were very happy with our stay. First of all, the unit had plenty of room for our group. We had 2 families (four adults and three children). The bedrooms are on the bottom (entry-level) floor, along with the master bathroom, which adjoins to the master bedroom. The master bedroom also had a nice patio accessible through a sliding-glass door. The second floor has the living room, kitchen, and bathroom #2 (there is also a patio off of this level, this one with a BBQ). The third level is the "loft" area with three twin beds which was perfect for the kiddos. We had plenty of room to move around. The kitchen was somewhat tight and didn't allow room for more than two people, which was fine for us.

CONS: I hate to mention it (especially because it's an issue for anyone tall...and something we tall people have come to accept), but the shower heads are pretty short. Most of the adults in our group had to kneel to wash their hair. And my ONLY other gripe pertains to the hot tubs, which were only accessible until 8:45pm (and were closed at 4pm on our first day due to an incoming storm that never came). For those with kids, you can sympathize that the best time to use the hot tub is when the kids are asleep. Also the hot tubs weren't terribly convenient to the unit. I'm sure during the summer months they might be a little easier to get to, but during our stay there was about 3-4 feet of fresh snowfall separating our unit from the "lodge/recreation center" where the hot tubs are located...and the only way to get to them was by driving. So sadly, we weren't able to use the hot tubs at all while we were there, which was a major selling point for selecting this unit.

But I'm done complaining! The unit's location in Carnelian Bay was perfect! Close to sledding and dining. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Thank you for sharing your home with us, great location and everything you could need. My only suggestion would be to have a coat rack near the door 😊
